Easy listening and relaxing.
Although, not one of the best soundtracks ever, this is definitely a nice one that you can listen to. The downside is that since some of the songs are generic and not terribly memorable.
If you can pick it up cheap then go for it! Good music!

Good.
Enjoyable but not as original and surprising as its predecessors. Also not as great as them. It still contains a couple of killer tracks though which justify the 4-star rating easily.

A nice soundtrack indeed
This is a really nice soundtrack with a total of 25 songs the first 23 are from the Wings of the Goddess expansion, and the last 3 are extras from Aht Urhgan. the songs do a really good job protraying the backgrounds of FFXI's past which sound alot like a movie soundtrack and some of which can really get your blood pumping which are really the best songs on the disc like "Run Maggot, Run!" and "Clash of Standards".
Theres really not much to complain at all for this soundtrack except for the fact that the awesome songs in the FIRST & THIRD trailers that were released from Square of the Expansion Pack are not included, but i hope they do someday... but overall, since every song of the disc is great its very much worth the $20 pricetag. Naoshi Mizuta is very much of the lineage of Nobou Uematsu.
