Gunpey
Another cool puzzler from Mizuguchi-san. Named after Gunpei Yokoi, father of the Game Boy. Buy a copy!

A fantastic game that is difficult to recommend
Gunpey is for puzzle fanatics, understand this. It is an exceptionally well made game and is very difficult. Being a game from Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Space Channel 5, Rez, Lumines, etc), it obviously has a heavy musical element to it, and this is some of the best game/music synthesis Mizuguchi-san has yet accomplished, perhaps the very best. It features 40 \"skins,\" as in Lumines, each one featuring unique and addictive music, together with graphics that range from amazing and hypnotic to just plain silly. It has Wi-Fi multiplayer, various play modes, and pretty much everything else that made Lumines an outstanding success, but again, it is REALLY HARD. Lumines was kiddy play compared to this. That is the only barrier to enoyment of Gunpey. If you love a challenge, love puzzle games, and love Mizuguchi\'s games, you will adore Gunpey. But if really difficult puzzle games --this can\'t be emphasized enough, Gunpey is really, really tough after the first ten minutes of play-- drive you crazy, then you won\'t enjoy this at all. It\'s your call. Gunpey is a masterfully made game--better than Lumines, in my opinion--but only a very specific audience will enjoy it on these terms.
