Happy Mid-Autumn Festival - Play-Asia.com will take Tuesday 13th September off and come back on Wednesday 14th September!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival everybody.

A lot of countries in East Asia celebrate this day as it marks the harvest period back when farming was the main industry. When people gather together to admire the roundness of the moon, they start telling each other stories.

One of the most famous tales is about Chang'e, the beautiful wife of a Chinese emperor who accidentally swallowed the pill of immortality. The power of the pill was so great that she floated to the moon. Every year during the Mid Autumn Festival, she gazes down at the earth below to search for the family she has left behind.

Yet, she is not completely alone as there are a lot of residents on the moon. The jade rabbits are up there making medicine and a proud lumberjack saw away at a tree that heals itself even as he works, turning him into a Sisyphus.

Not exactly wonderful companions up there. But down here, everyone will enjoy dinner with their families and sleep late into the holiday the next day. Tuesday, September 13th is set as a national holiday, all staff at Play-Asia.com will be away from their posts in the office and warehouse. We will send out all parcels today and come back on Wednesday 14th September.
