Great sitck after modding.
For a not so hardcore fighting gamer this would be a great stick. the Weight it perfect; sitting at 6lbs. You won't feel it move even if your mashing away! However, if modded this stick can be a dream come true for the hardcore. Joystick itself is manufactured by one of the best stick companies in Japan. However, the buttons ...[read more...]

Nostalgic time spent playing on real arcade, this model signed by a specialist, Hori, should remind you of good memories. Designed for Xbox 360 Real Arcade Pro EX SE is not one of those plastic reproductions usual, it is built with components of its origin and weighs 2.6 kg, a perfect stick for shmups !
This stick is good but not if compared to Madcatz TE. In the same price you will be got Sanwa and Turbo feature on Madcatz TE. Why should you go to waste the money to buy this stick and mod later?
This is the second stick I tried. I first tried the HORI EX 2 which was alright but this one had a more solid feel. I like the weight. It feel heavy enough to feel very sturdy and solid as you pound on it, but light enough to sit comfortably on your lap.
My friends who own and tried other arcade sticks say the stick itself feels great. They suggested changing the buttons, but right now it feels fine. I'll decide on modding it when I feel the buttons are giving way. I don't think you'll notice the build quality of the buttons if this is your first arcade stick, and it still feels better than the HORI EX2. You always have the option to switch it up with other parts.
Overall it's a very solid build. It feels great and the weight is perfect for me. I was also told this is one of the better sticks to have for modding. I've also had no problems at all using this on the PC.
It's an awesome stick which works right out of the box for PC and Xbox360. The Pushbuttons are easily replaceable to sanwas (they have quick-disconnects) and the stick is already sanwa.
It Shipped within 23 hours of ordering to Malaysia :)
Dont listen to anybody its bad. It is yes... but so is EVERY other stick on the market. There is not even one which is perfect, if you want the best grade parts you have to mod it yourself.
Understanding the aforementioned rule, the HRAP is the best chasis ever, great ergonomy, stable, perfect button - joystick layout.
For serious button mashers swapping the most used buttons is highly recommended.
Also depending from your needs/games you are playing there is space to put inside any joystick appart from the most cumbersome ones.
The Sanwa stick is good for beatemups and casual arcade games, but SHMUP fans should mod it with more precise and tighter one. Again - even if you leave it as it is , it the best stick for the masses you can get.
