description
Ikaruga is a 2-D scrolling space shooter (with options for either a vertical or horizontal display) set against a 3-D backdrop with a combination of rich Japanese storytelling and high-powered fighter-pilot heroics. Players take the role of hero Shinra, the lone survivor of a freedom federation that was massacred by the evil, power-hungry conqueror Tenro Horai. Now Shinra, in his newly-built ship, the Ikaruga, must fight for aging, exiled people who are depending upon him for their survival. Join the sole warrior as he battles the evil Horai in the hopes of restoring peace.

Good Game and V.Challenging
This is a great game, with brilliant graphics and you can play it on horizontal or vertical screen. 2 Players is good fun. The game itself is a litle hard at first but stick with it and its worthwhile

A Prince Among Shooters!!!!
What more can be said about this game? Incredible gameplay, sound, explosions, music, and environments. Why won\'t people admit that it is as cool as Radiant Silvergun? The one shooter to have if you can (God forbid!)only have one. All this game is lacking is a cool opening cinematic like Gigawing 2 has. Can\'t wait to see the shooter Treasure is making for the 360.

It\'s a good game, not as good as Radiant Silvergun (seriously, THAT game has yet to be surpassed in terms of shmups), but still, a worthy follow up shooter from Treasure. Very cool idea, switching colors like that, good times!
