Lacks that essence of speed you get when playing Ridge Racer
A couple of things curious fans of Ridge Racer might want to know about this album before buying:

First, there a couple tracks not listed here on P-A. There's a small segment of "Meet the World" at the beginning and another remix of "Before You Reach For Love" by sanodg as a bonus track.

Second, this is a continuous mix album. With that, some of the tracks are very short - 2:30 to 3 minute range.

Third, and probably most disappointing, is the fact that the music feels slowed down compared to playing the game. RR7's tunes during gameplay are around 140 BPM, while this album hovers at a consistent 128 BPM. That coupled with the fact that you're not bombarded with the fast visuals of the game make it seem even slower.

Overall the album has a deep trance / house feel to it considering it's tempo. Hardcore fans of Ridge Racer and collectors will still enjoy what it has to offer. Others may want to just consider the direct audio album.
