description says:

A very average crime movie that’s impact is softened even more considerably by hype.
Might just be worth a look at by Japanese gangster fans, but won’t appeal to the wider audience.

Ichikawa, Yamaguchi and Kosugi belong to a gang of vigilantes determined to punish those who threaten the Japanese way of life.
Ichikawa in particular bears a strong hate against the Americanisation happening in Tokyo, and the way people are generally becoming a lot ruder.
Two other gangs are also very keen to get the vigilantes on their side and try their best to recruit them however, the guys, determined to preserve the Japanese way of life will never join with those who disagree with their ways.
They become caught between a gang war between the gangs that are trying to recruit them and they must decide what is more important, their allegiance to the crime families or their fight for the traditional life style of Japan.

Rather over-hyped by the folks over at, this movies only saving grace is the last 10mins and a few patches here and there.

Despite great acting and a promising plot, this movie is let down greatly by crappy cinematography during the gang fights and poor story telling techniques.

There is also a fair amount of gore and a lot of violence.
The promising story also has a very powerful message at its heart.

Don’t despair those Yakuza and Japanese Gangster fans out there. The general consensus about this movie is that it’s very good however I just don’t see what’s so great about it.
If you are in doubt, please do surf around for a second opinion because others seemed to enjoy this far more than I have.
