Blu Ray addition to the classic anime
This is a remastered version of the Tanaka's classic scifi Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu. This contains season one of the original series and three movies. The movies are remastered from the source but the original series does not improve significantly over the DVD version(1080i). I cannot recommend this to people who already have the DVD version since the difference is very slight. Nevertheless, they did their best with such an old anime. They did not use the original footage from LD. This disappointed since storage capacity was not a problem on the Blu-ray.
If you never had the chance to own this great scifi series, get this and you won't be disappointed. Also, there are no subtitle offered(even in Japanese).
