description
The year's darkest and most terrifying videogame experience has arrived courtesy of Rockstar Games, makers of the controversial Grand Theft Auto series. Walk in the shoes of James Earl Cash, a man sentenced to death only to find himself given an unexpected and sinister reprieve. Forced to fight and outwit hordes of bloodthirsty gang members vying for his head on a platter. All orchestrated for pleasure and profit by the voice of an unseen Director. This is a brutal bloodsport.

It's a good game
I agree that the killing formula gets boring quickly. But on the day I started playing this game, that's what made me feel really strange, and I can't really describe the feeling. On the following days, I was used to the brutality but the atmosphere in the game was still great and the steath killing is still good at times.

not exactly Rockstar quality
Agree with wingedwerewolf's comments. The same formula of killing your enemies gets boring very quickly.
That's not to say that this game is bad - it's just that the cat and mouse game of chasing and being chased around the map is so repetitive. Of course, the thrill of being chased is very real as your hunters are merciless and viciously quick.
My suggestion tho - stick to the Grand Theft Auto trilogy for PS2 and be prepared to experience the real Rockstar Games' quality which is sorely lacking in this title

Disappointing
It is not about the graphics - would be unfair to judge the game solely based on the - admittedly - out-of-date graphics.
I was really looking forward to playing this controversial title, but - to make it simple - the controls are just horrible. Whoever thought those up should be fired. Automatic switch to first person view whenever you stop moving??
Sorry, but can't recommend this title.
Oh, and the kills ARE brutal, but this gets stale soon.

Prepare for violence
This is the most violent game I ever play on PS2. 4/5.
