Outstanding re-issue - pity no bonus tracks
I have been a huge Yamamoto Tatsuhiko fan since the early 1980s and have been very frustrated by the very badly conceived series of greatest hits his former record companies have put out. These compilations have weird inclusions and unforgivable omissions. So I was so pleased when Toshiba-EMI has decided to re-issue his earlier albums - Mediterranee is one of the best ones (the other is MUSIC)
This album is quite ahead of its time in its ability to merge electronica with bossanova & jazz to produce a very unique sound. Yamamoto's voice is ideally suited for the ocassionally raucous but largely laid-back melodies and arrangements on this album.
The entire album is outstanding and I can't name a weak track in this album.
For the uninitiated, this is the album to start your collection of Yamamoto Tatsuhiko albums.
Go get it!
