description

The New FOX Engine:
The renowned Metal Gear Solid series introduces breathtaking experiences with Ground Zeroes, a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima’s opus in writing, directing and game design. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is the first game to run on Kojima Productions’ FOX engine bringing new enhancements such as insane new game design, day and night cycles, and weather conditions that will drastically affect the gameplay giving the most advanced capabilities in an innovative way!

Explosive Storyline:
The Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes storyline follows the series' hero Big Boss, as he breaks through a remote Cuban prison camp on a rescue mission to search and save the Cipher agent Paz Ortega Andrade. Try to remain hidden and survived this explosive story as Big Boss finds himself on behind enemy line with little options for help.

A Pack of Action and Features!:
Like other titles in Metal Gear Solid, Ground Zeroes is a stealth action game; unlike its predecessors, for the first time a massive open world environment has been created for the player's interaction. Featuring vehicles that players can use to escape and also no loading screens to slow the player down, the game will offer freedom to players to do what they want and get the story events in order based on how they chosen the missions.

The game will also feature a “day and night cycle”, where players will see changes throughout the world depending on the time of day. With a real-time holographic map which provides information about the enemy and mission location, fans and enthusiast of this game will surely be psyched to play this game!

ASIAN VERSION !!
This amazing version of MGSv: Ground Zeroes contains Japanese voices and an option for English subtitles. So it's perfect for people who prefer the original Japanese voices or simply can't stand Kiefer Sutherland's voice acting; I belong in both said categories. Sutherland's performance is laughable at times and I can't shake off the feeling that the protagonist is a different person now. On top of that, MGS always sounded a lot better in its mother language. I have also played the first three games in Japanese and I assure you, they contain so much more emotion than their english counterparts.

Now, concerning the game itself, it features 6 missions (7 after the latest update) including the story mission. The gameplay mechanics have changed quite a bit. Forget everything you knew and expect to have a way tougher time than before. Big Boss can be spotted very easily by enemy soldiers now, and is not half as agile as Snake was in MGS4. MGSv offers much greater challenge and forces you to make the most of your night vision goggles and binoculars. The item selection menu resembles the one in Portable Ops. Big Boss can only carry two types of large firearms, one pistol and four types of grenades, mines or other throwable items. Lastly, forget healing items; there aren't any. Health regenerates over time now not unlike the Uncharted games.

I should probably say that Ground Zeroes is the beginning of a story, a lot darker than what you've experienced in previous MGS games. Some really gnarly stuff happen this time, so don't take this game lightly.

Overall, it's a solid game that mostly serves as a warm up for MGSv: The Phantom Pain. Get it if you think you're up for it.
