Challenging, but fun
This latest Gihren's Greed has quite a few differences with the previous (Axis no Kyoui). For one thing, there is no longer a world map that you can move on and a battle map for when you fight. Instead, there is only the world map, where combat can happen. The major bases will have separate maps, but overall this makes the game feel 'bigger'. Also, you choose characters to play as, which affects how you play. Playing as Supreme Commanders like Revil and Gihren means you have full access to all commands. Playing as pilots or team leaders like Char, Gaia or Bright Noa means you only have access to limited commands, making things more difficult (since you can't improve the technology). There are several other features that make this latest game a welcome addition to the Gihren's Greed franchise.
