This is a difficult game to review, because it's quite unique but it does have some flaws.

Pro:
- Beautiful character and background design. It's easily one of the better looking games on the Wii.
- The Japanese music and story elements are top notch. Reminiscent of Okami. I like how they didn't dumb it down, but aimed it at Japan enthusiasts.
- Elaborate item forging and gameplay options.

Con:
- There is some backtracking involved which is rather tedious. One could argue it adds to the travel element of the game's story, but it's just unnecessary to have it like this.
- The menus are a bit messy.
- The subtitles are a bit lacking. If you understand Japanese you'll get more out of the story.

As far as beat-em-up games on the Wii this is a great choice. If you're interested in Japanese culture than it's even better. The minor flaws don't distract much from the overall experience.

Great game
It's a great side scroller beat-em-up. Beautiful 2D artwork for both backgrounds and characters. It also has many different systems like crafting and cooking. Great fun.
