Really Cute!
When I bought this figure, I thought it was smaller, but it is HUGE ^ ^ The pose of Asuka is funny, I hope it comes out soon a figure of Shinji in the series, to complete the collection.

It is very well painted, especially the eyes, I do not like the stand for her feet, because they are not subject to the feet, but by the head.

The price is fine, such figures are usually more expensive (at least in my country.) If you like Evangelion or super deformed figures, these are fantastic.

Great quality despite its simplicity
Petit Eva is one of the many spinoffs of the Evangelion franchise. It sees cute, super deformed versions of the characters attending school in a world that is much more bright and cheery (yet often much weirder) than that of the primary Evangelion story line. Petit Eva exists in the form of a series of CG animated shorts, 4-koma manga and what has become quite an extensive range of collectible figures. The particular series that this figure is part of is known as the 'Deformation Maniacs Collection' ('Deformania' for short).

Asuka here in her plugsuit-styled swimsuit is one of the two figures that make up the sixth set of Deformania figures (the other half of this set being Rei, also in swimsuit). As per usual for this series, the only articulation she has is a turnable head, but she's very nicely painted and looks just as good in reality as in the photos here. She's the fifth Deformania Asuka so far - her head is quite similar to two of the previous ones, but she's still terribly cute, looking like she's eager to go have some fun in the pool. If she is your first Deformania Asuka you will love her - check out her detailed eyes and huge bright orange hair. Asuka figures in this series are always cool to play around with due to the fun, chunky feel of her gigantic hairdo.

What's fun about the Deformania figures is that they can all swap heads/bodies with each other (though the fit is sometimes looser or tighter when swapping between older and newer sets). However, none of them will stand without the aid of a display base due to their huge heads and tiny feet. From set 5 of the series onwards though, the boring, hard to use block stands have been replaced by cool, colorful transparent display stands that easily 'hug' the figure rather than clamp difficultly onto its ankles. The stands for this set are a nice turquoise color, suitable for the poolside theme.

This Asuka doesn't achieve the same level of sculpt detail as that of the previous set, nor have as interesting a pose as that dynamic-looking one. But it's only in comparison to that figure (easily the best in the series alongside her counterpart dancing Shinji) that this figure disappoints. Pick her up with swimsuit-clad Rei and bring some life to your shelf!
