Item Description

The Nintendo 3DS XL is a new version of Nintendo 3DS with 90% larger screens. The new systemcreates even more immersive entertainment experiences for users, delivering a wealth of games and video content that can be enjoyed on the go. The new system's battery life outperforms that of the original Nintendo 3DS. Even with the addition of the bigger screen, Nintendo's aim was to still make the system available at a reasonable purchase price. Because of this, and because so many fans already own a previous handheld, an AC adapter will not be included.

Note:This is a Nintendo of Americaofficial product repackaged for U.A.E., Malaysia and Singapore and comes with a 220-240v AC Adapter. Compatible with NTSC U/C games only.

Super Cute Mario Design & Completely NA Compatible
My new Mario White 3DS XL arrived yesterday, and I now have it all set up. I can confirm that the system is working as expected so far, and the design does not disappoint in person. Super cute! For those interested in importing this for use in North America, though the cardboard outer box is marked UAE, Saudia Arabia, Malaysia, and Singapore in a little blue and green circle, the system itself seems to be compatible with all of the US 3DS and DS games that I have tested on it, and I was also able to transfer the Ambassador games and other dl games/content from one of my other US systems to it successfully. The wall charger that it comes with it is unrecognizable to me, so I'm just using one I already had. The only other differences are very minor: The outer box is super fat by comparison to our 3DS XL system boxes, and there is no Club Nintendo code included (since I guess they probably don't have their own CN in Southern Asia). Also, you don't seem to be able to register the system online; instead, it comes with one of those old-fashioned mail-in registration cards. Kind of retro, lol. :-)

The two games that came with it are retail physical copies, and they seem to be bundled in by Play-asia, as they were completely separate from the system box. PES 2011 is exactly the same as the US version, from the game case to the code on the cartridge itself. SMB2 is almost exactly the same as the US version. The code on the game cartridge is identical, but the cover art in the outer game case has the same small circle indicating UAE, Saudia Arabia, Malaysia, and Singapore that is on the box for this system. Interestingly, their version of SMB2 also has slightly cooler artwork inside the case than my US version, with art pop-thru on the back lattice (like Theatrhythm and a few other games have, which is a nice little touch).

In sum, I'm very satisfied, and I'm thrilled that I got to add this unique design to my 3DS collection.
