The new Nintendo DS Lite is smaller (just 133mm x 73.9mm x 21.5mm, compared to 148.7mm x 84.7mm x 28.9mm ) and lighter (weights just 218g instead of 275g) than the previous model. The Start & Select button positions have been changed, they are now located below the four action buttons at the lower right. Also the microphone and power LED indicator are now at a different position.
Further the screen backlight can be adjusted in 4 steps. The name "Lite" consists of the words "light" and "bright".

Buy this one. :) It's amazing.
I've had this DS for a couple of weeks now and it is awesome. :) Its much more beautifull when you see it with you own eyes.

A little reminder for buyers
The back is not like other DS,it is actually plastic as in the feeling of the inside of the DS,it can also be have a little scratch mark once you scratch it but,I heard if you just rub it,the scratch will come off.Also I heard that when taking off the gameboy cartridge is a little hard to take off,although that was only a rumor but,it may be true.Anyways,I aprove of the DS just make sure not to scratch it much.

what you can\'t tell by looking at the picture
If you\'ve never seen the crimson black DS with your own eyes, you\'ll be fooled by its pictures posted online (anywhere). First of all, the red actually has a metallic sheen to it (a few ebay pictures do kinda show that). But no picture shows that the black portion of the handheld is actually something similar to rubber casing! Previously released black and navy blue models all use the enamel material on their casing, and they are extremely prone to scratches and fingerprints (I own the navy blue one)... But the crimson black model uses materials that are more scratch and fingerprint resistant (even the red part)! Finally, something I\'m completely satisfied with...
