Messy Rearrangements
I'm referring to some songs in some parts and not everything. The songs are all of course originally composed by Nobuo himself... However, as for the rearrangement wise, i don't know if it's Nobuo who did it... There are too many dissonant keys to make it enjoyable... I won't say that the music isn't in harmony all the way but there are certain parts of a piece which really... Well, it's just not to my liking... At times, there are too many keys played at one go, which is why I described it as messy...
Putting aside all the clashing keys, the pieces are unique in a sense that, i haven't heard this kind of arrangements before. The playing is at pro-level and clear, bringing out the melody when needed. The more soothing songs are a lot more enjoyable as the use of unnecessary keys was toned down. Suggestion will be that, unless you really really like the songs and piano, then you can give it shot. Keep in mind that this is my own preference as there may be others who can better appreciate such pieces unlike me.
I'm giving the cd 3.5 stars
