Gorgeous
Beautiful 2-D game made by the people who brought us Odin Sphere. Battle system is great but gets repetitive after a few hours. The moves you use at the beginning will be the same moves you use to finish of the final boss with, so don't look forward to learning new moves outside of each blades "special attack".

Gorgeous graphics, fast-paced gameplay
Oboro Muramasa is best described as a scrolling beat 'em up with a touch of action adventure gameplay. The beat 'em up part is reminiscent of titles like Viewtiful Joe: battles against multiples enemies/bosses take place in confined two-dimensional space connected by jump 'n' run passages. Villages give you the opportunity to buy new weapons/supplies.
Graphically this game features outstanding art direction in a classic two-dimensional setting. Scrolling is wonderfully fast and smooth and useally makes use of several parallaxed layers. Seeing this first hand is actually worth the money :-)

Nice graphics
Beautiful game! I love the sprites in this game.
Game play wise, you will get to smash a lot of buttons, and once you understand what you are doing, it gets very satisfying.
For those fans of Japanese themed games, it is a must buy. It shows various aspects of the local mythology and tales.

Perfection.
Oboro Muramasa by Vanillaware is probably THE best reason to own a Japanese Wii right now. The hand drawn 2D graphics are absolutely beautiful and vibrant, and the art style may remind some gamers of Clover's Ookami. The combat engine is simple yet sophisticated. There are two protagonists with their own unique storylines and gameplay styles, a truly AWESOME soundtrack with beautifully composed music, and flawless controls, either using a Classic Controller or Wiimote/Nunchuk. Definitely purchase now.
