Generated orders. When will I earn commission?

Generated orders are the key factor of the Play-Asia.com Affiliate Program. You’ll earn commission once a purchase has been completed through your personalized affiliate link. You will also be able to monitor several statistics in your customer account, including the number of generated orders and the number of visits from your affiliate links.

We differentiate between two kinds of purchases:

• Sales
• Sales (unconfirmed)

A purchase is listed as "unconfirmed" until it has been processed by our shipping center. Since the customer has the option of cancelling unshipped orders, Play-Asia.com will list a purchase as "Unconfirmed Sales" until the purchase has been fully completed. You will then automatically receive credit to your account.

Your affiliate balance can be retrieved in real-time in your customer account.


Commission rates

Last Update: June 21st, 2006

Important: Only orders generated after June 21st, 2006 will be subject to the new rates. Orders that were generated before this date, but shipped after June 21st, 2006 will still be subject to the old rates.

Play-Asia.com will credit you a commission of the total products value (without shipping charges), depending on the relevant product category. We are currently offering between 3% to 12% commission rates as further listed in the chart below:

Please note that all commission rates are for reference only and subject to change at any time without prior notice and discrepancies between the rate chart and actual affiliate earnings may occasionally occur. Please refer to each individual product page for an up-to-date affiliate earnings indicator. Note: You must be logged in with a registered affiliate account to access this information.

Affiliate commission will only be paid on the total product value (without shipping charges). No commission will be paid on trade orders (business to business) at which wholesale discounts apply.

Commission for each confirmed sale will automatically be credited as in the following example:

A customer is referred through your affiliate link to Play-Asia.com and purchases game software priced US$ 80 and books priced US$ 20. You will then be credited US$ 4.80 (6% for the game software) + US$ 2 (10% for the books), total US$ 6.80.

Please note that NO funds will be credited for orders that were placed through your own affiliate link. Play-Asia.com also monitors transactions that are in breach with our Affiliate Terms & Conditions, which includes setting up another customer account in order to earn commission for purchases made by oneself. Play-Asia.com reserves the right to freeze affiliate earnings and refuse withdrawal at any time at sole discretion of the company in such events.


Withdraw money

We are currently offering the following options to withdraw money from your affiliate balance:

Please note that in order to prevent fraudulent transactions, you will only be able to make your first withdrawal after a period of four weeks.

(*) You will automatically receive a bonus of 5% (based on your total earnings) on top of your balance when using your affiliate funds as store credit at Play-Asia.com. In most cases, you will be able to use your affiliate balance online during checkout of your order. If this option is not available, please contact us.

(**) Withdrawals by PayPal are free of charge. However, the transaction will be subject to PayPal's general terms and conditions and you might be charged a small fee upon payment receipt. Please refer to www.paypal.com for more details.
