Coaster Works

At first i thought this is just a roller coaster track editor like the ones found in racing games like V-Rally 2 on the Dreamcast. I was soo wrong... even on the first level, you have to put some thought into the track layout, because this game has real physics that affect the train movement and inertia. Not only g-forces and extreme curves, but acceleration and deceleration... the track must be built with slopes that give enough force to the train to overcome the next hill and have still some inertia left, its hard to explain, but its really fun. If things are not that well made you could end up with a train that looses the momentum right before the end, than go back to the beginning backwards, then forward again, completely out of control :)
An interesting and challenging game, and for this price, its entirely worth it!

Coaster Works is like Rollercoaster Tycoon but focused only in roallercoasters. You have to build it with a specific set of directions and test it (in first person!). Some rides can be visually stunning but when you check it it became unsafe because the rail distribution is not good with physics and the wagon ends outside the rollercoaster after a turn. Good game but very specific. Not for every public.
