Try something that is both modern and retro at the same time. Dot sprites that appeared in the retro games are rendered into 3D. In a world constructed with tiny blocks, you are to take up your sword and set off to do chivalrous things.
Blast things apart and see the tiny blocks blow off into all sorts of directions. Both familiar and fresh, this game will bring a warm fuzzy feeling to the old time gamers and a new sort of exhilaration to the new ones.
No title A definite must-buy if you enjoy NES/SNES-era Zelda games. The graphics are also quite wonderful, like nothing you've ever seen before.

So much for so little! I preordered this from play-asia, and got it shipped out MUCH faster than expected, would have got it sooner is the USPS was faster... =
But this game is great, i've been slowly writing a guide for people, and in short its very easy to get into. Much like the appearance it plays almost exactly like the NES legend of zelda titles, and is easily playable if you can read japanese or not!
In addition to a very fun game, one cycle will take about 40 hours, and then you have tons of other things to do, like "from" difficulty and Spelunker mode which is 1 hit kills you. In addition to these modes, there is a character edit mode which has tons of edited premade characters of classic video games/anime for you to install and use *i used Zero from rockman X*
Finally, the trophies will keep you playing, theres one for beating each boss perfectly and 1 for getting all the swords which will take you in the 70+ hour range. In short there is a lot to do, and youll get more than your moneys worth if you pick up this title!
Fantastic action adventure 3D Dot Game Heroes takes the classic gameplay of Zelda and updates it in every way possible, without losing the charm and style of the classic title.
A definitely purchase for fans of adventuring and dungeon crawling!
A charming and fantastic adventure. I bought this from Play-Asia mostly to experience a title that the western world won't be seeings for another 7 months. The game is fantastic, despite the language barrier, the gameplay shines through with no obscurity and once you're into the flow, you've got an addictive and fun game to play through. It's in Japanese, but the Asian release has a small translation card just to get your started.
