The most intense, challenging, action-packed ninja adventure is back, exclusively on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system! Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is the ultimate Ninja Gaiden, featuring characters from the previous installments that have defined the franchise. It radiates a striking visual appeal in high resolution display, featuring character and environmental graphics whose quality exceeds the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Combining both melee and long-range battles against enemies, the game requires skillful and strategic playing to successfully journey through the missions.
Story
As super ninja Ryu Hayabusa, you roam the world and hunt down the Demon Statue that was stolen by the Black Spider Ninja Clan to prevent the resurrection of the evil Archfiend. From Tokyo to New York, follow Ryu as he encounters vicious enemies and acquires an extensive assortment of ninja weaponry along the way.
Great Ninja Game. Ninja Gaigen Sigma 2 is one of the best ninja game on the next generation console. Graphics and actions are superb. You get to play more than one character as well, 3 female characters are playable with unique skills as well.
On top of that, there is multiplayer too. Playing it with a friend taking on a number of enemies is just way fun.
I highly recommend to anyone who loves Ninja hack and slash game.!!!

NGS2 What a great game... easier than the predecessor in gameplay, first sigma game was a lot harder. Some things got deleted from the xbox360 version, but mostly added, like new characters, new bosses. A new projectile weapon howling cannon... AND THE CO-OP TEAM MISSIONS...
Superb! The content in this 2nd installation is much better than the first though the difficulty of the gameplay is reduced. A total of 4 characters to choose and better graphics makes this game superior to its 360's counterpart.

Great action game Great and beautiful game, plenty of challenging missions and characters to choose from, and each characters can be played quite differently. Team mission tends to slow down in certain areas, even though the game is not in full HD.
Still, very enjoyable game with selectable difficulty levels to suit the player.

Not so good as the first one The first Ninja Gaiden was a challenge. This one is ok but not as perfect as the first one.

THE SEQUEL TO NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 1 AS EVERYBODY POINTED OUT THERE IS NO BLOOD OR GORE BUT THE GRAPHICS AND GAMEPLAY MORE THAN MAKE UP TO IT
An Action Gamer's Dream First unlike NA releases Japan's collector's boxes now how to do their packaging.
The music CD for example comes in it's own separate blu-ray case opposed to NA release which usually ship in cheap cardboard holders.
As for the game it's is an improved version of the 360 version but not without it's flaws though minor. Basically it's missing the "bloodyness" of the 360 version along with the extreme difficulty. For some players this might be a sore point as I know I like a challenge but you can always unlock higher difficulties so it's not a major issue.
Still if you own a PS3 and like action games this is one to pick up.

good but can be better this is a remake and a refined version of xbox 360 version with heaps of improvements, graphics are sharp, boss fights have been improved, and few more chapters which you can use new characters such as rachel, momoji.
the boss change is a nice touch compared to xbox 360 version's annoying bosses. the camera is much better now that you seldom run into awkward view points. 1 drawback is the much tuned down blood and gore. the ps3 version is a much less violent game compared to the 360 version. the team mission is fun only if you have a good connection or you expect to lag and it is almost unplayable. you can of course play team mission offline but it's much less fun.
overall, if you haven't got the 360 version this is 1 of the best action games for the ps3 platform. but for ninja gaiden fans you probably already got it for both platform

Worth the first time Technically the definitive version of Ninja Gaiden. Although the blood is sorely missed. Must buy for Ninja Gaiden fans who haven't got the 360 version. For fans who have the 360 version, it's probably not worth it. Online co op is slightly laggy.

WOW Great improvements to the 360 version....better graphics and multi characters. also the addition of CO-OP is bloody awesome!
a must have for action junkies!
Awesome NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 is one awesome Old-Skool action game a must buy for anybody who loved the old Japanese action games that besting them felt like a major achievement and this PS3 version is enhanced from NINJA GAIDEN 2 on XBOX 360 with a 720P Native Reslution compared to 575P for the XBOX 360 version and it has a awesome online co-op play mode and you can play as AYNE, RACHLE and MOMIJI so so if you like Old-Skool action games and the DOA games get this one.

Become a ninja Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a great game. Its fast, the enemies are bloody-thirsty, has 3 more characters to play, team mission mode and the best part is playing this mode online with a friend. The defense is your friend and the button-mashing is your enemy.

different from NG2, but still a great game besides the fact that this game is a port of NG2 (360), it doesn't have blood (just a purple smoke) and the difficult is lessened even in the harder levels.......but even so, the extra missions and the coop-missions are both excellent and compensate the problems above.
Great game, one of the best action game on the PS3!!!
Nice, a little less for excellent Aside from the lessened difficulty & enemy counts, this is one hell of a game. Many characters to choose from, innovative stage& gameplay, and ,of course, special edition packed with loads of goods. A nice one to have in your shelf.

Awesome........ Definately the best game for Ninja gameplay on ps3 of whatever the console its on. really cool controls, fast moves n improved graphics. i had sigma 1 earlier, the gameplay and fast movements made me wait for this second edition. truly worth a wait. though i have to still wait to comlpete it all for more reviews, but hey its the best ninja game ever!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Review This game has a moderate quality graphic. However, there are some issues on the viewing perspective while controlling the character. The game play is at mid level and the level is suitable for most people just want to enjoying game not suffering. The selling points are the CG ladies in the series. If you have a fan of DOA and action game, you should reserve this in your collection.
GO GET IT! I HAVE TWO OF THEM , ONE IS FOR XBOX360 FIRST VISION WHICH IS NINJA GAIDEN 2 ,OTHER IS FOR PS3 VISION NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 . BOTH OF THEM HAVE SOME DIFFERENT STORIES.IF YOU REALLY LIKE THE CHALLENGE, GO GET THE NINJA GAIDEN 2,OR IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE THREE DIFFERENT GIRLS SEXY BODY, GO GET THE NINJA GAIDEN SIGMA 2!
Great box set for fans If you are looking at this game, you know what it is. A Ninja action game, the best Ninja action game ever made. The collector’s edition box is very high quality, it’s a real shame that they didn’t produce more of these since I know there are a few fans of there that really wanted to get this, but now it seems like it’s a bit too late.

Fantastic! Despite I had played the Xbox 360 version, I still no doubt to keep a PS3 version for it never let you down, not just in term of graphic, the gameplay but additional new features and characters make this PS3 exclusive title worth to buy it. Reduced gore and blood, however, does not bother me much. Thanks PS3.
Superb Game this is the best game i ever buy in PS3, this package worth buying for collectors, it have a lot of team mission where user can play along with friends. this package included the redeem code for white suit where only can be redeem using the code they provide.
if u are NGS fans, u won't regret getting this bundle XD

really get FUN until crazyyyy ~ haha, ninja gaiden series everybody already know it is must buying~
finger action, moves action ~
No title Actually i didnt have much time to play. But still i liked graphics and cinematics. Can't tell if i liked the story coz i think i am not far from beginning but i think it will be as good as in the 1-st part. I think it's a good game entertaining, and has more oportunities like playing another characters in 1-st Gaiden i really enjoyed it and here we will have more. Anyway i think that NG2 is as good or even better then NG. I didn't regret the money spent on it, but i am graduating so don't have much free time and can't enjoy playing at fullest now =((.
BTW I also liked that in the box there were keychains it was a nice surprise. The box also looks cool with many bonuses. The only thing that i regret that i didn't buy a guide with all secrets and etc i know some ppl like spending hours learning and finding items and etc but i like action and don'k like wondering, searching and cracking my head what should i do, i would prefer to know the tactic and to know the best weapons, how to lvl them and find them ... So i advise to buy the guide with the game, its cheap itself, the delivery to my country of it itself bites.
Amazing game If you're a Ninja Gaiden fan, this is definitely a game you have to get, it goes without saying. Even if you're not a NG fan, it's a great action adventure game, especially if you're looking for difficulty.
There are big differences you can easily notice from the Xbox 360 original Ninja Gaiden 2. However, the differences does not take away from the game. The new modes and characters are a plus. You use Ryu Hayabusa throughout 80% of the game, but there are also some side stories where you use Momiji, shrine maiden who was first introduced in the DS Ninja Gaiden game. She is the sister of Kureha, the shrine maiden who was killed by Doku in the beginning of the first game. You use Ayane, kunoichi who helps Ryu, she provided the guides in the first game, and she also appears in D.O.A. And Rachel, the fiend hunter from the first game who was looking for her sister Alma. They are all a unique set of characters with their own fighting moves, their own combos, their own ninpo. You use each of them for one chapter (for each of them) but you can use them, and gain costumes for them while playing the team missions, which seems to have taken the place of the green "fight to the death" rooms from the 360 version. You can team up with the computer, someone you know, or anyone around the world.
The limited edition Japanese boxset has a special code for a costume for Ryu Hayabusa, his father's white outfit. It also comes with a comic book of the intro, the game's soundtrack, and dog tags for a necklace with Ryu Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, Rachel and the Ninja Gaiden logo. It's a great deal, highly recommended.
PS. To use the code, you have to have a Japanese account. But you can play the game on an American, or whatever account you have.

NINJA ATACK Ninja Gaiden Sigma is designed to provide fans of Sony's highly successful "Ninja Gaiden", which was released exclusively for the original Xbox in the past generation and has become one of the main attractions of the console from Microsoft.
On the PlayStation 3, adventure starring the ninja Ryu Hayabusa won more modern graphics, new enemies and a few minor adjustments that made him the final version of the classic modern. Now comes the turn of "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" try it before "Ninja Gaiden II, a sequel came less inspired than the Xbox 360 last year.
Right away "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" shows that can not be taken too seriously. The story never makes much sense as the characterization of sites around the world and its characters. The best example occurs in the first scene when we met Sonia, a CIA agent who dresses in clothes that would make so bold corarem some strippers. The designers have created their own little world and we have to accept their rules in order to swallow all the angry dialogue and moments of tension that the game sticks down their throats.
Basically a villain steals a magical artifact and uses it to open the gates of hell. Ryu Hayabusa then need to chase him around the world in various locations. At least the scenarios serve as venues for interesting visceral action that makes the charm of the game. The mechanics do not change much from the game of 2004: In the fights, there are elements of platform, operating, stunts the "Prince of Persia" and boss battles ruthless. However, do not expect a huge amount of blood the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 here in the enemy has much less fluid running through the veins and the visual shock of their deaths is not as intense as well as scenes of drilling, beheadings and other moments of brutal scenes of history.
Other changes were also made in the course of the main adventure. The variety of arms of the hero has changed, for example, with some items completely filed off to promote balance. With your progress, you acquire new abilities and items that can be exchanged for items of power or magic, upgrades to weapons and extra health points, which make it more powerful, agile and strong - and the difficulty of the game was reduced from the original, such incentives become even more abundant, but not necessarily made the title more accessible to casual gamers.
New heads were also introduced, some paths between the stages were changed and now there are stages that allow control of three muses in the series. The hunter Rachel, Ayane fighting ( "Dead or Alive") and ninja Momjian ( "Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword") gaining ground in the limelight and present themselves as a great breath of newness in the middle of Ryu's troubled journey, with mechanical differential and new weapons. Pity that such missions will last bit.
As difficult as the game can be, the battles are extremely fluid and without major complications. The hero first with regard to attacks and weaknesses. Combining the attacks, combos you create unique and highly devastating, making mincemeat of his enemies. Each weapon has its own series of blows, most very satisfactory, and there is a wide variety of them to find out. It is the player to identify what your favorite style and develop it.
Besides the main story, you can use the repertoire of hits in other extra modes like Team Mission, which works as a cooperative game for about 30 stages. The mechanics did not seem to have been optimized to support two players, but players should enjoy interlocking in combat against dozens of enemies simultaneously. The Chapter Challenge appears after the main mode is unsuccessful, and brings the player back to the plot together with a multiplier of points, which assesses style and performance.
Technology year
Graphically "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" does not do much for the game that took as the basis of its predecessor. "Ninja Gaiden II" was a beautiful game for its time and the designers seem to have stirred the very visual, which already shows some signs of age of a year ago. All models have that plastic look, no dirt or variations, that bothers a little. So that the art direction of the original was quite happy in the choice of locations and scenarios never fail to amaze, as well as drawing monsters and sound editing, combining the powerful effects that music mix sounds a typical Japanese heavy guitars and bases Electronic.
The performance, however, is not too round for a game that is not new. There are many moments filled with tearing effect, which is the one that gives the impression that the screen breaks the graphics at times faster. The graphics engine also has some slowness in some duels more filled by enemy shrapnel and bullets, but does not interfere dramatically mechanics. The camera was not much worked, and as the Xbox 360, sometimes insists on changing the angle in the middle of fighting, leaving the player without much reference to direction or position.
Finally, it is required to comment on the use that Tecmo gave to the motion sensor of the PlayStation 3. User can control the balance to shake the breasts of the heroines of the game, in a grotesque effect and without any regard for the adventure. If this was the main use of the company's designers were able to create a game of this caliber, it's time for industry to rethink the usefulness of such technology in current games.
CONSIDERATIONS
"Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2" is a good little adventure that changes the original "Ninja Gaiden II for Xbox 360. There is a better balance, new stages and characters, as well as some extras, but the charm still lies in the fighting fast and fast-paced adventure challenge last year. With an old foundation, the graphics suffer from the gap and have some performance problems, but fortunately do not alter the mechanics consecrated. It's a good thing for fans most hardcore of action, yet that does not bring enough new features to warrant a purchase among those who have hit the console version from Microsoft.

great starting well first of all...the intro is great...played level hard and currently stuck at the first boss...anyway its way better than 1st game graphic.to be honest..when you buy it there will be no regret.its 10/10 for me.
No title An overall quality game, The only drawbacks are the graphics are lacking the polish of the 360 version & the gore is reduced + the extra characters have to be unlocked & are only available for mission mode, But otherwise i thoroughly recommend this if your a Gaiden fan especially for the 30% extra added to the story.

US region 1 , is better than any region Gaiden Sigma 2, all region beside region 1 not allow Decapitation for humanoid enemy...so he US-Region 1 is better...wa ka ka ka

Not bad for a sequel Graphic for the game is enhanced & a variety of characters (such as Ayane, Momiji & Rachel) can be chosen on the team battle mode. The only draw back for the game is that its action kinda 'slow' compare to the 1st & the camera viewing control, well, at least it is improved.
