This is what should have launched with the Wii. It's 100% more comfortable for extended play time than the first gen Classic Controller. A definite must buy for patrons of the Virtual Console. Highly recommended. Shipped in about 2 weeks

Kuro Classic Pro Controller Thie is feels much better than the first model classic controller & it's black. What more can you ask for?!?! ^_^ I reccommend it if you've got the spare cash since it's not out in America yet.

Best controller for Virtual Console Games! This controller is a "must have" for all the retrogaming lovers!
It's the same design as a PS controller or a SNES controller so all the old gamers are in total confidence. The buttons and the stick are really good.
The only default are the shiny black color who loves "fingers" and the wire which is really small.
Buy it and you'll be happy ^o^

What all Pro Evo fans need! The truth is that I bought this pad to play Pro Evo, and despite the d-pad not being up to standards, this is a fantastic pad. In some respects, I prefer this to the PS3 pad. The shoulder buttons are single click, unlike the analogue style on the PS3. For games like PES, you need quick responses and analogue just doesn't cut it. All the other buttons are well placed and al in all, this is a very comfortable pad. The main reason for buying this instead of the original classic controller is because of the two side grips. Anyone else who's played PES or any other game on the Wii with the original classic controller will probably have experienced cramp at some point. This new pad eliminates such pain and is a joy to use. I one issue is with the d-pad. Unfortunately it feels cheaply made, and I found that my characters didn't always walk in the direction that I wanted. For example, when you press right, your character will walk up + right or down + right. It was enough of a issue that I've changed to the analogue stick completely. Fortunately, because of the ridges, the analogue is great to use and shouldn't hinder ever the biggest PES players :-)
Bottom line: Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Great! Much more comfortable to hold than the original classic controller and the cable coming out of the top of the controller looks better and is much more practical!

New Style, New Color! I've had the white Wii with white Classic Controller since launch. I've been waiting for a black version ever since.
I much prefer black consoles over white, and this doesn't disappoint.
While the old controller had the classic SNES-style roundness, the new handles make the controller easier to handle.
And as for the Z buttons, I much prefer the new PSX-style R1/R2 (over/under) compared to the old R buttons on the inside.
Overall, the color is what made me buy this but I've found that the new layout just adds to the old controller style, improving on an already good thing.

A must buy! This is a much needed improvement over the old classic controller, Looks a lot like Sony's Dual shock controller but feels more like the Xbox360 controller. Great for playing games such as Muramasa and A boy and his Blob.

Very convenient controller for Wii It's quiet useful for playing games like Monster Hunter 3. However, the feeling of the analog stick and L/R key lack flexibility and not as good as PS3 or XB360.

Great looking controller! This has to be one of the most amazing to gawk at controller I've seen yet. Yeah it's glossy. Works just like the old classic controller except the shoulder buttons have been improved. It now no longer feels weird & feels just solid with great placement of buttons & analogue sticks. Just that it gets dirty too easilly because it's glossy. Still highly recommended.

Great controller When Wii launched back in 2006 I refused to buy the Classic Controller because it wasn't comfortable in my hands and I didn't need it. Now, the Classic Controller Pro has a much better design. It resembles the GameCube controller a lot, but has a bigger -and welcome- D-pad. I bought it mainly to play Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, and already tried it with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I have only one complain: the top buttons (R, L, RZ & LZ) are positioned in different way than the GameCube controller's top buttons (R, L & Z). It may take some time to get used to the new button's placement.

Awesome import! I was very happy to recieve my very own BLACK Wii classic controller Pro. It's like a cross between a PS dualshock and the old Wii classic controller. You really shouldn't be without it if you plan on downloading games from the Virtual Console Shopping Channel. Shame it still doesn't have rumble, otherwise I would have given it a 5/5 score. Being in Australia, it takes weeks (even months!) for decent games or peripherals to reach our shores. Thank goodness for PlayAsia. Fast, reliable, truly an importer's dream!

Great Controller! The controller is great went perfectly along with Muramasa. The game is great for those who have a lot of VC's on their Wii. Its also a great controller for Brawl.

Great Controller, and It's Compatible with US Wii Systems and Wii Remotes • Pros:
- Fantastic ergonomic, comfortable design that at least rivals any existing controller
- Perhaps the best looking controller ever developed. It looks even better in person! It's beautiful!
- Great playability.
• Cons
- The glossy black is a fingerprint magnet.
- Like the Classic Controller before it, it requires connection to the Wii Remote
- No force feedback :-(

Much better than the classic controller, but still could use some work The Wii Classic Controller Pro is better than the old classic controller in everyway. The color the form factor and just the way it feels in your hands. They also changed the shoulder buttons by adding 2 additional buttons to the top of the controller. The downside is that the controller still has to plug into the Wii remote instead of being wireless. Since the Wii has built in Wi-fi, there really is no reason for Nintendo not to have a wireless classic controller for it. Other than that, the black pro is great and the way to go when choosing between the 2.

Nice color, weird finish As with its white counterpart, the Classic Controller Pro Black is a step up from the regular version, but still not a DualShock. Form factor is not perfect and no rumble is really a disappointment. The black finish is classy, though - if a little prone to collect fingerprints

great controller, but gets dirty really easy This is the same as its white conterpart, that is to say it works great, and it's BLACK.. so in theory it should be way cooler than the white one, right? well, not necesarilly, the white one looks awful, but at least you won't notice the smudges all over it. the black one looks really bad after a long session of play, but if it is all the same to you, go ahead... black is the best color, at least for me. that said, it's very high quality, and it's very conveniently priced, so it really is only a mater of personal taste.

A slight improvement over the original Classic Controller I wasn't too fond of the original classic controller as it felt kind of awkward in my hands. The new Pro design is definitely more comfortable for me to hold. My biggest gripe is that you still need to plug in a Wii Remote to use it. I definitely recommend this if you play a lot of SNES games on the Virtual Console.
momoisaturn(1) on 06, Sep. 2009 10:23 (HKT)
Terrible. It's as if they took the SNES controller and turned it into a playstation controller. Giant hand grips are the thing I hate most about modern day controllers and am very disappointed to see them return. My hands are small so it makes theem hurt after playing for a few hours. However the shoulder buttons are easier to hit atleast.
