Thoroughly Enjoyable The only issue I had was that some of the songs were a bit too simple and didn't pose a challenge - for those hardcore Rock Banders who believe the game must involve your fingers dropping off, this will be the sole sore point.
Otherwise, the details in the game are flawless, the storyline's a fun mode to play; and after this game, you'll love the Beatles if you don't already.
Get Back! I would say that TB:RB is Harmonix's masterpiece! But I'm suspicius to make this review, since I'm a very long time fan of Beatles (21 years old... listening them since my 4-5 years - thanks Dad for playing Sgt. Peppers). I was very suprised, though that this game will be "too easy" even on Expert, but the Harmonies Vocals was "Da Catch". With 3 mics, 4 friends who like Beatles = fun for all night.
Also, great visual work from Harmonix. The band, the venues, the Dreamscapes... everything, veeeery beautiful.
Too good to be true. Actually, this is funny. I just got an e-mail from Play Asia asking me to write a review about The Beatles: Rock Band one day after I've understood a very important thing. I understood that this game is the best video game I've ever played. I know it might sound over enthusiastic, but it is true. All the Marios and Monkey Islands in the world cannot top a game that is an absolute masterpiece combining the best songs ever written, and overwhelming design, an amazing understanding and analysis of music, and pure fun. I've played a lot of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games before, but nothing comes even close to this one. It is obviously a work of pure love.
One of the best things about this game is that if you are a Beatles fan, and you've already listened to their songs thousands of times, playing them here makes you see the music in a whole new way. Playing one particular instrument every time forces you to listen only to that one, resulting a unique experience that lets you hear things you've never heard before.
Buying this game is worth every penny. This is a great party game, and the DLCs make it even better. You'll never get tired of it.
Amazing I own Rock Band 2 but I wanted to experience something new. This game is what I was expecting: new songs, harmonies, all about the story of the beatles (which I didn't know).
Visually it's also very good.
If you have already enjoyed previous Rock Band games. you can't pass on this one.
