Charming in every way
Opoona is one of the most charming RPGs I've ever played, just oozing with unique personality, and a simple play mechanic that has more depth than it looks.
The game, officially speaking, is a "Lifestyle RPG," which means there's a lot of life sim elements, but with tangible benefits that carry over into your main quest. The quest is pretty short, and the lifestyle parts pretty shallow, but combines, they're better than the sum of their parts.
The only thing to really watch out for is the translation. There's no engrish to speak of, but a lot of the text could clearly have benefited from another proofread. It's a bit of a hurtle in a couple spots, but other than that, this is one of the best overlooked gems on the Wii.
