The next generation in Naruto games will include all-new character animations, new special attack animations and for the first time new interactive environments. just wanted to clear something up
this game was still being developed whilst the ending of naruto the first series was airing etc

How can they make a story about a show that the anime watchers haven't seen yet, and don't say the manga, they pretty much had no choice but to go a little off to actually allow the anime to air before they start spoiling the non manga naruto readers

aka the casual viewer of shippuden

with that being said the story in the game is alright as is the character selection

just realise its the first in a long to come series of Wii games, the first game is typically not as good as the rest but the rest sorta improve

awsome game
okay let's clear this up for all you losers who say this game is stupid . Sure it doesn't have as many characters ,but if you want more characters get the second one. That's what i'm doing mainly because I wan't to have older sasuke and do chidori sword. Any way's back to the subject, This game is by most the best naruto gekitou ninja taisen ever mainly because of the gameplay. And if you are one of those people who think that because this only has 14 characters that this is a dumb game need to shut up and get the game you like best.

For those who rate bad! From a person who owns the game!
Ok strictly to those who have rated this game bad. If you are a true naruto fan you will see that this game is no where close to as good as Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 but lets look at it. It took 4 games to get to where GNT4 is and you bash the GNTEX game with out thought that its doing the same thing GNT first did. For those people who didnt want the move sets to change well guess what think it over because in the show its not the same because they have grown and learned new stuff. Are you upset that itachi doesnt have an extra clone or that someone that used to throw a kunai no longer does. Stop thinking negative and actually try to get good at playing it. You cant add characters never seen in the show yet and why add so many characters when you have more sequals of the game to put out? You can not compare this game to the ps2 versions because it is two different style of gameplay so please do not do that anymore. Those people who think that GNT4 is the best yes i agree with you but dont make GNTEX look bad. New game means new things. Dont get so upset that the game wasnt made the way you wanted it to be. The first GNT wasnt made like GNT4 so dont look at GNTEX that way as its a new series so new game. Done clear nothing else to say.

If you are a naruto fan who likes GNT4 and want something with smoother graphics get GNTEX. If you arent a fan of naruto dont bother. For those looking for the exact same gameplay as GNT4 dont expect it.

I give this 5 stars for all those losers who put this game for 1 star because they werent successful at even getting all the characters in the game when theres only very few to get and wont even sit for more than 30 mins to learn the gameplay.

definite must have buuut...
this game is good
but i beleive that narutimate is better just because its not super close like this. you can long range or cqc combat..but your constantly close in this game.
i guess this is just a different approach in style
really nice looking game plays well kinda limited on characters though. overall very good but not really comparable to narutimate

GREAT GAME! People that are greedy for characters say its a bad game
HONESTLY, this game is REALLY GOOD! It is easily the best out of ALL of the Gekitou Ninja Taisen games. I hear nothing but bad reviews of this game from soo many people but ur reasons are not justified nor are they even of any sense! All u guys want is ALL THE CHARACTERS FROM THE PAST GAMES. BUT THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE! This is a entirely new Series / arc! Why would you want the old chouji fighting the new Neji?, Or the old Hinata fighting the new Naruto? THATS STUPID! just wait for Naruto Shippuuden GNT EX 2 for the new characters. But for now, the amount of characters (and the upgradesto each characyer) make this the best game so far! The gameplay is the BEST out of all of the games thus far. The super characters have been toned down to make it even (itatchi) and some of the weaker players are better to make it even (Kakashi). The new tweaks for the fighting is great (air throwing) and just overall the gameplay is better! Very easy to pick up (same combos as before) yet upgraded (MANY new combos to find out) PLUS the effects are better (Gaara's sand). SO EVERYONE NEEDS TO QUIT BEING GREEDY AND WAIT FOR MORE CHARACTERS NEXT GAME! FOR NOW THIS GAME IS WAY BETTER THEN THE ONE FOR PS2.. that fighting engine sucks too.. Holler

A review from someone who has PLAYED it...
Honestly I want to give the game I good review, but Tomy should have known better..

Pros:
- Shippuuden
- Wii exclusive
- Supports Classic Controller for wii and Old Gamecube controller along with Wiimote and Nunchuck

Cons:
- Lags with more then 3 characters on the screen on most maps
- Very, very, very limited character selection
- Story mode doesn't even follow the REAL shippuuden story!!

This should have included all past characters like Accel does (PS2 Naruto).. From here the GNT series isn't worth purchasing, so either wait until EX 2 or get GNT 4.
