My first blu-ray from Play Asia and one of the best movies I have seen in recent times. These titles are not available in my country and nice to have Play Asia deliver it!

Ip Man (2009)
One of the finest martial arts films ever to be created.
The fighting style performed by Donnie Yen is accurate, yet fantasitical to make any viewer, whether or not he has learned the intricacies of martial arts, watch in awe.

The movie is very patriotic and nationalistic, calling fourth the Chinese people to fight against the Japanese.

This movie is recommended for anyone who is a fan of Donnie Yen or Martial arts!

I had not ever see a good film like that. Attack technical was so cool... I love Donnie Yen so much.

Awesome Donnie Yen action flick
Donnie Yen is as awesome as always in this kung fu action movie which is set during the World War 2 and is based on a true story.

Many kung fu movie fans would sure know the kung fu master Bruce Lee. Well this movie is about the kung fu master's master!

Bought this on blu-ray so I can watch it again.
Love the 'fast punching', and the sound effect is great!
Fighting scene is exciting too, you won't regret getting this if you are into Kung-Fu movie.

A worthwhile kungfu film from the last of the HK Greats
Despite taking a lot of liberties with the true account of Grandmaster Ip Man’s life, this film is still a largely enjoyable and impressive Donnie Yen offering. The fight scenes choreographed by Sammo Hung are an obvious highlight. Having learnt some Wing Chun myself, I can say that the moves on display, while not entirely genuine Wing Chun, nevertheless retain enough authenticity to be convincing. The story focuses on Grandmaster Ip coming to terms through hardship and tears with the realization that while one man CANNOT fight an army, one man CAN teach and empower a nation to stand against an army. I await the sequel with high anticipation!

A Must for Martial-Arts Fans
Definitely one of Donnie Yen's best films yet, Ip Man is based on the man who brought Wing Chun to global acclaim. Although a tad glorified, the rest of the movie more than makes up for it.

There have been tonnes of praise for the spectacular fight choreography and acting. The best judge for this movie would be yourself, so do yourself a favor and grab this DVD before it's too late! Watch it in full surround sound in the comfort of your home.

You won't regret it.

Critically acclaimed martial arts movie
I watched this in cinema last year and it was great. The fighting scenes draw you in along with the drama in the film. Bought this in order to watch it again...a must have movie for kung fu fans! For those who wish to hear the sound effects in its best quality, the film in the DVD uses Dolby Digital 6.1 Surround EX (Cantonese, Mandarin) and DTS ES 6.1 (Cantonese only).

Definiely Must Own
My friend told me about this movie based on Bruce Lee's Master and I love Kung-Fu movies. Just the beginning of the movie will draw you in and want to see 'til the very end. The story is very well done I definitely recommend it for those who want a great Kung-Fu movie.

Must Have!
I saw this film when I was last in HK and it was amazing! The story line is solid and moving; the martial arts are even more so. And to think I almost missed it.
