Orb has fallen. The Earth Force’s attempt to gain access to their mass driver has failed; now they will be fighting a losing battle in space. But before it was destroyed, it sent the Archangel and the Kusanagi into space, along with the Freedom, the Justice, and the Orb M-1 Astrays. Together with the Eternal, ZAFT’s state-of-the-art Mobile Suit Carrier, which was stolen by Lacus Clyne, these ships must now fight against both the Earth Alliance and ZAFT as each side attempts to exterminate the other.
The Earth Alliance, having copied the N-Jammer Canceller technology, attacks the ZAFT stronghold of Jachin Due with nuclear weapons. Upon seeing their greatest tragedy come to life again, Patrick Zala authorizes the use of GENESIS, a beam weapon powerful enough to strike at the Earth itself!
The Earth Forces has commissioned another Archangel-class ship, the Dominion; its sole mission is to destroy the renegade Archangel. And Rau Le Creuset isn’t about to let this end peacefully. As the battle draws to its ultimate conclusion, it is possible that humanity itself will be the victim. Kira, Athrun, and the others must stop a war that threatens both sides with genocide!
