Good purchase
This book has much more information on the battle system than I can say for the English guide. This is for people who enjoyed the battle system and want more in-depth strategies and battle details which you are bound to find here even for experienced players.

Battle Compendium
It has information about battle system; characters development; items; weapons and enemies. A lot of screenshoots and the formations you need for the bosses.
I missed more artwork but still worth it.

It was better than I expected. Everything I loved about FF XIII was jampacked into this sweet little book - details on enemies, items you encounter ingame, as well as Paradigm Shift decks and character strengths/weaknesses, strategies, etc. are discussed in exquisite detail on each and every page. I am planning to but the Scenario Ultimania once I have the budget and means to do so. This is probably the start of my FF guide book collection.

Worth every pennies!
This guide puts the US Guide to shame, high quality prints, showing every little single details.
Only thing is that you'll need to understand Japanese in order to fully utilize this guide book. However, it's worth it for every FF Fans collection out there.
