Set in the 1930s, this is the story of a group of explorers and documentary filmmakers who travel to the mysterious Skull Island to film their new picture. Once there, they quickly discover that King Kong resides in a jungle there along with creatures from prehistoric times which have all been protected and saved somehow from extinction. King Kong takes a liking to the crew's leading lady, but her love Jack Driscoll is not willing to give her up so easily
