description
The original Game Boy Advance™ fits comfortably into the pocket of a backpack. The retooled Game Boy Advance SP™ fits into a coat pocket. Now Nintendo takes aim at the pocket of your tightest jeans with the tiny Game Boy Micro™ system, quite simply the smallest and sleekest Game Boy™ product that Nintendo has ever created. It's thinner than a cell phone, as chic as an MP3 player and as fun as a Game Boy™. In an instant it attracts attention and positions the image-conscious player as someone on the cutting edge of cool.

The sporty, silver metal Game Boy Micro™ measures a mere 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall and 0.7 inches deep, allowing it to sit comfortably alongside today's hippest technological gadgets. It weighs an astonishing 2.8 ounces, or about the weight of 80 paper clips. Yet Game Boy Micro™ has the same processing power and plays the same games as Game Boy Advance SP™ models, complete with standard face controls and gleaming shoulder and Start/Select buttons that literally shine.

With Game Boy Micro™, everyone plays with style. A removable face plate gives owners the option to buy replacements to customize the look of their systems again and again with new colors and designs. Most notably, its 2-inch backlit screen shines with incredible power, rendering games in startling clarity with fantastic colors on the best Game Boy screen ever. For the first time, users can adjust the brightness of the screen to adapt to indoor lights or outdoor sunshine.

Game Boy Micro™ represents the latest evolution in the image of the Game Boy Advance™ line, but it is not a successor to any current system. Game Boy Micro™ will be released this fall. The system comes with a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery and supports standard headphones.

    A great little console.
Seriously, I love this console. It's small, it's sleek and stylish with a great retro flare. The inside box is amazing, and when I showed both console and the box to my friends, they were impressed.

    This should not have failed
The Micro is a great piece of hardware, if I had the money back when it launch I would've bough it. It's definately worth a buy especially at 70$. It feels good in your hands. The screen size isn't problem if that's what some are thinking. Nintendo Marketed the Micro well but it was too much when it launched.

Once hesitant, now an instant buy!
I was hesitant to buy a GB micro for two years, but at 70 dollars, I was sold! It's clear that price was the reason the GB micro failed to meet expectations, as every other aspect is perfect.

    It's very beautiful!
This game boy has the most beautiful color. I have a GBA and a DS but GBM Famicom version is the most beautiful and handheld.

    Pretty... and more
First thing I thought when I got mine was... wow this box is beautiful, then after opening the box, I was amazed even more, the great people at Nintendo have designed the box with a retro flare that gave me a nostalgic moment. Enough about the box, the GBA Micro is just insanely small, and this one is a beauty! I suggest getting the screen protector with it however because unlike the SP the screen is asking to get scratched

Very nice, best GBA out there..
I have a DS and all and I could play GBA games on my DS but I just don't like how the DS is so bulky in my pocket. Plus it's hard to put away if your on a train or etc. So most of the time I play my portable games at home. But with the GBA Micro, I can play games without hassle. Plus the Famicom version looks incredible.

    Great, and Shiny
Well, only after receiving the product I realised that the charger is not the same as the DS Lite. However, even with this minor issue, it's a fantastic product, and much more metallicy than I expected.

Great delivery times, and a great product.

    Just got one to play...
All I can say is I'm very pleased with my purchase. It came just in time and very well packaged. The unit works flawlessly and now I can finally stop carrying my Fat DS just to play GBA games!

This one is a real beauty. I won't use it for playing, it will sit on a shelf. The red is more like a claret-red or dark ruby and it looks stunishing.

It would be a pity to scratch it, so I sincerely hope that Silicon Cover and Screen Protector will be available again, even smallest quantities will be fine with me.

Thank you so much for this great Easter-ready opportunity.

    batteries and accessories?
i'd love to buy this as a second micro (and just because it's worth collecting), but wonder if play-asia is going to start carrying game boy micro replacement batteries again? these things are getting less and less support now with the DS being so popular.

Stylish gadget and not a toy
Black GameBoy Micro seems to be the best looking of them all.

The pure blackness and simplicity of design make it look like a stylish gadget. Unlike beautiful, but childish Famicom, the black Micro is not to be mistaken with a toy. More likely it will be mistaken with a phone.

If you think about Micro in black, I can't recommend it enough.

    No title
It's really beautiful, lightweight, brighter; only drawback is, retrocompatibility isn't incluse in this model, instead previous GBA incarnations. If you don't play oldies, this is the best GBA in existence.

    Micro Masterpiece
I sold my original Famicom version Gameboy micro to go towards my PSP. While the PSP was worth it, I couldn't resist getting one of these again for this price! Worth getting one again just for Advance Wars, never mind all the cool retro games available for it (Final fantasy, Mario Bros, the famicom series, etc) which are now dropping in price. Class!!

    The last old-school handheld
GBmicro is the best version of all GBAs, and this Famicom is the most beatiful of the micros. The red and gold metalic reflection of it is much better than a picture can show. And the pixeled Mario on its back gives the special and limited version feel.

The best choice if you want to have the last handheld full of old-school 16-bit games, since DS has new controls, and PSP has only ultra-power-3d-graphics games.

    great device but...
The screen is extemely bright i i like that u can change faceplates, although they get finger prints on it easily. The screen is small but after about 5 min. u get used to it. But the worst thing is that in North America it is ILLEGAL for other stores to sell GBM accesories. So if u want to buy them u have to either buy them from import sites (such as this), or from store.nintendo.com. thats probably why about 90% of kids in canada (where i live) dont know wat a Gameboy micro is.

    Superb
I'll just mention this specific LE, since I'm sure everyone is familiar with the quailty of the Micro range in general. The metallic red is a gorgeous deep colour, not too shiny, and the black faceplate complements it perfectly; it's certainly an LE that really does set itself apart, especially with the stylish Pikachu motif. One complaint however is that the faceplate, similar to the PSP, does show fingerprints very easily. You shouldn't let that worry you though.

    Yet another solid Nintendo handheld.
The Game Boy micro may seem like a quick "cash-in" of sorts by Nintendo on the highly successful Game Boy brand -- the most successful line of systems in the history of video games -- but it actually is a rather solid little handheld.

Truly defining what a handheld really is, the Game Boy micro is the smallest handheld ever created. In addition to that, it sports the best screen a Game Boy has ever featured. The size of the screen may be a bit smaller than standard Game Boy Advance SP screens, but the overall quality of it when compared to SP screens is night and day, so to say.

However, one thing that the micro lacks is the ability to play past Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. If you can get past that though, you'll find the Game Boy micro to be a worthwhile investment.

    lifestyle
i have played with the gb,micro.
the screen is incredebly sharp but it is so smal that i will get after 5 minits playing tired eyes.
it,s amezingly so smal that it fits not confortable in your hands, couse after playing several day,s your will get theoriticely RSI.
and i have readed that it is compitable with gband gbc games,
well i will thismiss it couse when i was trying to put this games in the micro, it does,nt fit in couse there are 2 pins inside wich will blockade (just like the nds) the old gb/gbc games, and even with the cheatcartride it does,nt work.
so it only works with gba games!
so why they have not call it the gbamicro.
also you need a new link cable for connection.
the only good thing of the micro is that great desing,
that you can use different faceplates ,
is has a frontlichtscreen with cotrast button.
    has a standard headphone output.
so if i have not a gba this is the ultimate way for playing
    gba games in lifestyle.

    Famicom version the best!
I have been playing gameboy series for the past 10+ years and I have to say micro is by far the best. It is very small. Smaller then SP but abit wider. The LCD screen is brighter compared to SP and rest of GB products. The design is very sleek as well. For me, I think the famicom version looks the best. If you are the console collector, this is definitely the one to buy.

Great service and thanks for the free candy & sticker. :)
