I swear I can see detail in games that I couldn't previously spot via composite (for example, the segments on the energy bar in F-ZERO GX).
Sadly, not all third-party games fully support it in widescreen. You will need to utilise any zoom features of your TV to negate any letterboxing. This is not a fault of the product however, so it gets a 5.

With my new HDTV and the crappy composite cables that come bundled with the GC the picture was extremely dark and blurry. The official component cable from nintendo cures these problems. The picture is now crystal clear and much more detailed than with the composite cables. It also allows you to play about 95% of GC games in progressive scan. These cables go for around $70 - $100 on ebay (plus shipping) so this is definetly the cheapest price around.

Anyone outhere with GameCube, get this cable ASAP. Play-Asia give you the BEST deal. Make sure your GameCube have the Digital AV and your TV have that component inputs. The Customer Service is friendly and very efficient. Free delivery to Malaysia and I received my cable in just 2 days... AWESOME!! I will definately recommend Play-Asia to everybody.
