Viewtiful Joe is a cel-shaded side scrolling action game in which you play as a super-hero Joe and battle in the modern city side. The characters are all super-deformed. The game features some unique features, such as a SLOW button (to turn the whole action into slow motion), a FAST button (which allows you to run faster than light and beat up your enemies in seconds) as well as a ZOOM button (for zoom-in effects and to operate special other combos).
The game itself is mainly in English language, just some sub-titles as well as menue explanations have been left in Japanese. In our opinion Viewtiful Joe is a great action title with a very unique gameplay. Certainly a must for all Gamecube owners.
Viewtiful Joe is directed by Hideki Kamiya - one of the producers of Devil May Cry - and produced by Atsushi Inaba.
Viewtiful Joe Revival is republished as low budget title. Further the game includes a new "sweet mode" for gamers who had a hard time with the previously easiest "kid mode".
