Very fun Japanese platformer Two very satisfying platform games in one! The second game felt a little easier to pick up and jump right in to. The levels are very fun and creative. There's one in the second game where you ride on the back of a water serpent that particularly impressed me, despite the simple graphics (by today's standards). Makes many references to Japanese culture, which is very interesting. The town levels involve talking to various people and beating up townsfolk and taking their money, but they're not very essential to completing the game (you can just walk through them). The Japanese is all in hiragana, which makes reading difficult (though my Japanese is very basic), but there are some pretty funny gags and references to other games at times if you can make them out. And throwing money at enemies to defeat them is the funniest thing ever. If you like platformers and are interested in Japanese culture, or are looking for something a little different, check this out.
