simply amazing. I heart this system more than any other system out there...an I have them all. I still love my psp, but this is a monster of a system. Plays all the classic games. A MUST BUY!!!

I found this console while surfing on the web i fall in love with it a long time ago! Sorry it had only a few games but i love it's power, screen, way to develop and so on...I will buy it ...

DUST but still good
Great system, I wish dust didnt accumulate in the corners. I suppose its a very small problem, but its an interface problem and something i see all the time. Still, a very good solid system, quite a few emulators out there written for it. Don't think you are getting a system that can play GBA games, however, the emulator for that still has a ways to go. Some emulators however show alot of promise, like the SNES emulator and quite a few arcade emulators. The Gameboy/Gameboy color emulator also works VERY well. I haven't gotten any video encoders to work right but I hope to be able to watch southpark on my GP32 soon... :-)

This is the best handheld in the world!!

A genuinelly powerful console
This really is the best handheld gaming system in the world. The front lit version is a must. Although the screen is the best I have come across in any system in poor light it still looks dark so the light is a great bonus - pay that bit more it's worth it. I can't rave enough about this console I'm a real fan. It's versitility is amazing from emulayion to mp3 what more can you want? I currently use mine to play DOOM, NES games, Sega Master System & Game Gear as well as proper GP32 games and demos. And most of this fit's on one 128mb smart media card. Best thingy in the world
I found out about this on a Nintendo (ugh) fourm (the post was deleted a few min later :P) Its WAY better than GBA OR GPA-SP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get FLU! GP32 Rules!
I agree that GP32 isn't as "user friendly" as the GBA and most younger kids won't be able to use it or appreciate it's positive aspects, but for what it can do I think that GP32 OWNS GBA, at least for me... Movies, MP3's, emulation, and who knows what else in the future. This is truly a versatile machine and well worth every penny paid. Also, get the FLU unit, as it's much easier to see, that is unless you only play games when it's very well lit.

Great but not as great as the gameboy SP
If you like tweaking about to play homebrew (i.e. emulated) games, then this is for you, otherwise get a advance SP, lets face it, they look better don't they?

I am loving the GP32 though, I second Tommy's comments, get a big card and watch out for dust!!

Well modified - but not original
I used to have a GP32 without front light so I quickly dumped that one and got myself one of the new FLU'ed ones.

The modification is done nicely but you should not expect first party quality. Mine has a few very tiny dust specks at the lower border - just outside the visible LCD area - phew. The dust isn't visible if I don't really carefully look, but, if it was in the middle of the screen I'd be quite annoyed.

Other from that it's the very same than the non-FLU version.

So, either version of the GP32 you get, it's really worth it! Get a 128m SmartMedia Card and there you go with MP3 and homebrew games!
