this is a great game the play on it is smoother than the other narutimate games to me this game is also more clear and a up side is gaara is faster. The only bad thing is some people are not in it like Ts sasuke but thats the only... ONLY problem

Best fighting game ever made
this game is a very good anime game it give you a selection of so much player preview time skip and time skip wich is the shippuuden characters theres over 60 characters and not to mention the rpg which is actually 3d and is very fun to play.

The graphics were awesome, the battle system was great, (though ougis took a while for me to figure out how to use the different ones...) and all the combos and stuff look sweet, and the forms are heaps the best aswell, (except deidara's flight form...didn't like that when fighting him...)

All in all, one of the best PS2 games ever.

However if you expect to play the stroy mode and you can't read or understand japanese then don't be disapointed when you find out the story mode is usless.....

But I didn't buy it for the story mode...........

Great game though its sad where the story mode stops; I'd have been happier if they finished the arc (y didn't they...because of the anime?) and left out the whole filler/training story thing at the beginning of the story mode.

I haven't quite 100% the game yet but I have unlocked all characters. I have a tendency to be Deidara all the time. The most useless character: Chiyo-baa (no puppet-techs O.o). The most kick-arse character: Flash (a.k.a. Yondaime).

I can't wait for the next game and more characters (I'm hoping human-puppet Sasori, Sai, Yamato, and Ts-Sasuke will all be available in the next; asking for Hidan and Kakuzu is pushing it but would make me happy.) Asking for other Akatsuki members who haven't fought (Zetsu and Tobi....Teh Leader) is also pushing it. ...and Suigetsu and the Hebi Team members seems to be too far out there. XD We'll see!

Anyway, this game is worth it! and any following game will be too! The Naruto fighting games are the best anime-to-game fighters that are out there!

I'd be lying to you if I said I want disappointed in Narutimate Accel. It has a good line up of characters which are all balanced. For those who say characters are unbalanced I have no problems with the new or different characters. The RPG mode was the biggest let down for me, I enjoyed it but found it way to short, I was expecting alot more then what the game gave me. I was expecting it to go right up to the end of the Gaara rescue arc however instead it stopped halfway in. They could have gone all the way and added true form sasori which would have been nice but I think they are saving the best stuff for the next game which I perceive to be released either later this year and mid next year.

I liked the graphics and ougi's in the game and found the gameplay in Accel alot smoother then Narutimate hero 3. I found the characters in that installment moved like bricks.

Overall I found Narutimate accel a worthwhile buy but its length is short and overall it will be used as a multiplayer game with friends rather then a good single player experience.

Well usally i write a reveiw after im done with the game. This game was really nice. its just that it should've been longer. It only took about 5-7 hours to beat the game. The graphics were the best ones yet in the the narutimett hero series. I beat the game 100% and there IS NO SASUKE! There wil be sasuke and other Akatsuki members in the next and last naruto game on ps2. Also, there is going to be another naruto game on psp later in 2007. it wil have time skip sasuke and sai, and other time skip characters. Back to the review, this game had no point in the end. you can beat R.P.G. mode by yourself and find out. It's a great buy, but it could've been better.

its a very great game but there need to be more TS characters,but i understand why ,its because this is a game of the first season of naruto shippuden thats why hinata chino kiba ect. was not there. This is untill they rescue gaara and hinata kiba shino ect. were not introduce yet.

Not only were they somehow able to break the system that reached the closest it ever got to perfection in Narutimate Hero 3, but it disappoints as well with its lack of interesting new characters and new modes. To boot, the 3D 'action RPG' mode can be finished within perhaps two or three hours, giving none of the enjoyment of the same mode from Narutimate Hero 3. The fights are often frustrating because the characters are horribly imbalanced, and overall it is a far inferior game to its immediate predecessor.

Although I'm not particularly a Naruto fan, I am a fan of the character designs and of the fighting games. This one, however, is one to miss. Its stories are dull and uninteresting, and not a single one of the action RPG mode's stories are brought to any sort of resolution, not even a slight modicum. It's like the whole game really: lacking in both fulfillment and resolution, with only the scantest amount of novelty. You're better off going with Narutimate Hero 3 if you want something like this that actually works and happens to be fun.

this is the best game ever made u dont really have to be a fan boy of the series to want 2 play this but people who are fan boys of the series you defenitly pick this up the anime art style for the game has improved its just freakin beatiful and u get all the old charectars back from naruto 3 on it plus the new and improved rpg mode is hella sweet so for all u out there looking for the next big ps2 title pick this one up

Great game, yet slightly disappointing
I just had to buy this game, and it lived up to pretty much all my expectations, some good, some not so good.

The gameplay is great, and the new moves are also pretty decent. The RPG mode is pretty repeptative, and the game still lacks battle modes besides the standard 'VS. mode'.

Being a big Deidara fan, his inclusion in this game was enough to sway me into buying it, but here is what get's me.

Where on earth are Ino, Choji, Kiba, Hinata, and Shino? They had shown up in the manga by this point in the anime, yet they aren't there, and they didn't make an appearance in this game post time skip, which really disappointed me, especially since they didn't include Sai or Sasuke, who have both been shown in the anime already.

I'm a huge fan, and I don't regret buying this game at all, but I feel it could have been much, much more. Here's to hoping the next game blows us away, and has Hidan included ;]

ok so i got my game and i finished it all!!! here's a cheat if u have naruto narutimate hero 3 in ur memory card you get all the chars exept sasuke, itachi,deidara,sasori,kisame,chiyo,and the 4th. i unlocked all those even sasuke!! im not lying guys he is fucking aweaome!!! you have to beat the game COMPLETELY 100% buy everything and all that his fucking moves are awsome and hella strong but the fights are too short if u playas him because of his strenght. and the guy that sayd poor development XXXXX!!!!

brilliant upgrade to the gameplay
I should say, this is a nice step in the gameplay department. Not only did they add a nice RPG mode, but also managed to make the whole game much more balanced and tactical. The graphics and load times are polished also. It adds a total of 15 people to the series (they are time skip versions of people like Naruto and Neji, but play COMPLETELY different), and kept all but 2 of the previous game's characters. They even updated most of them with new awakening modes and even ougis. It's defiantly a treat, and now great fun competitively in tournaments also! ^^

I have no idea what the previous person is saying. This game is an absolute tragedy. Although the manga has developed very far, this game only hes two new characters. The sand guy sarori does not reveal his true form in this one. No spoilers at all.

this game is a lot like nh3 but with a lot of improvements. It has many returning charachters from nh3 plus some new ones. The RPG mode has been seriously improved from the last game as well.

Correction this doesn't have the all the characters from narutimate hero 3. It contains characters which are extremely important to the Rescue Gaara arc where Akatsuki take Gaara's One-Tailed demon out of his body and kill him but Kakashi's Team (Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto) as well as Gai's team go and attempt to save him. Sakura kills one Akatsuki member (Sasori) with the help of Chiyo and Kakashi and Naruto kick the shit outta Deidara but he lives. So you knows what its about now.
