詳細描述
The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 2 is the sequel to the 2004 released 3D conversion of the popular fighting game series.
KOF:MI2 features new characters, a new story and a new battle system. You will now be able to do "Stylish Moves" (combo up to evolve your fighting), a new Counterstrike and Super Cancel moves (one to parry attacks and shift from offence to defence, the other a 1-bar Super Move where you cancel their Super Move and launch into your own Super Special Move).
Forget what everyone says about 3d KOF games This is an extremely fun game! There are almost twice as much characters as before and alot have new moves. The story mode is nice but the versus mode is where it is at. The new guys Alba and Soiree are cool expecially Alba and I don't see why everyone says Falcoon is ruining KOF.
King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 I'm happy to see that SNK fixed some of the bugs in the first installment and went through the trouble of adding a whole bunch of new stuff on the side. The number of characters has been doubled, adding some pretty good characters, but also a couple which at least some of us could have lived without. Though, I'm just happy they didn't cram Duck King or Ash into this...
The new counter button is pretty handy if you can learn the proper timing, as it can stop even an SDM (Super Desperation Move) and leave your opponent completely open for a devastating counter. The combos have been made well too, with a whole lot of different combinations to choose from. It's a bit sad though that because of that same fact, a button masher can probably beat an experienced player by just repeatedly jamming the buttons and with some luck, but I guess that's just something everyone will have to live with.
I'm also happy to note that the amount of skins and models for each character has been doubled from the first edition of the KOF MI series. Though I must say I was bit surprised when I unlocked Leona's Soryuu Asuka (From NeonGenesis Evangelion) and Ayanami Rei (Also from NGE) skins, complete with the plug suits...
All in all, I think this is a good sign for SNK that yes, they can make a good 3D fighting game despite the poor success with previous attempts (Before the MI series, that is). I just hope they'll gather the guts to try and make a decent Samurai Showdown/Spirits 3D fighting game on the home consoles.
Great, Fast, Addictive, and combo-licious =P I was a bit apprehensive at first when I heard how un-welcomed the first Maximum Impact was and how it was just not up to par, but I tried this game out early on and HAD to get it. Safe to say, I'm one happy camper ^_^. This game is FAST. The combos are nice to watch and are fulfilling when executed right, and with the amount of fighters available and modes to try, you'll be playing this game for a looooong time.
One note though, when you execute moves, you need to hit those buttons fast, I mean FAST! Pulling off Rock's Rage Run is not that simple even if you think you got it down =P.
A much improved sequels With more characters a parry button and super cancels this more over the top then ever.
All it needs now are aerial raves and a explosion when you finish someone off with a super move and i think we would have the most over the top 3d fighting game.
Thankfully it is great fun just do not expect the technical gameplay of the 2D games
