The PS2 version of The King of Fighters 2003 features number of enhancement over the NeoGeo arcade version, including 3D backgrounds and each stage has 3 time zones: morning, evening and night.
There are 7 game modes: Arcade Play, Team Play, Single Play, Team Survival, Single Survival, Practice and Gallery.
You can play the game in the new tag team mode, or the classic 3 vs 3 mode. The three hidden characters from the arcade version are also playable by beating the arcade and survival mode once.
