A Legendary Adventure
This game has many flaws. Firstly, the game uses the regular Linear Motion Battle System with no new invention… except Senel’s ability to throw stuff. In addition, it does not support multiplayerability. Many of the spells that look awesome in other Tales of games look weak in Tales of Legendia. For example, the spell “Indignation” looks like a small bolt of lightning instead of a massive crashing lightning bolt that fills up the screen.
Also, the first half of the story is simply “save the girl that gets kidnapped,” which isn’t very exciting. However, Tales of Legendia does have many strong points.
The game’s soundtrack is excellently orchestrated, unlike the soundtracks of other games in the series. Also, it is composed by Go Shina instead of the usual group of Motoi Sakuraba, Shinji Tamura, and a guest.
The characters are also very original(except Shirley, who is kidnapped for half of the game). My favorite characters to play were Senel, Chloe, and Moses. The characters of Tales of Legendia probably have the most original weapons. Senel uses fists, Chloe is a sword wielding female, Moses uses sticks, Norma uses straws, Will uses hammers, Shirley uses quills, and Grune uses jars… and I forgot what Jay used. The characters have unique personalities. Moses and Norma are really funny.
I really liked the voice acting in Tales of Legendia, although the voiced scenes only last for half the game.
The graphics are really good. They’re cel-shaded.
Overall this game was enjoyable, but could have been more fun with multiplayer options.

Youre either going to love it or hate it
Legendia...a mixed bag really. Some of its great, yet some of its not. However, I love it.I think its a great game with a decent sense of humour. The battle system has a few flaws but you can quite easily overlook those flaws and get the full enjoyment out of it.The characters are interesting and full of personality, one of the games strong points. Now, for the bad.The character quests.Youd think they would provide hours of fun and make an interesting extension. At least at first anyway. They begin to lag on a bit once you get to Chloe's story. It feels like your watching a 24 hour special of Lost. Hurrah. Then theres Norma's voice. So bouncey...so lively...its to much. The unoriginal dungeons, the plain 'adventure field',those otters that play a too big a part in the game...Dont get me wrong, these flaws are easy to overlook, but when you think about it...
Altogether,I think this is a decent breath of fresh air for the tales series and that any tales or RPG fan should get a good 60 hours of fun out of it.

Legendia tales
An Entertaining and fairly Fun RPG Game with a lot of humor and enjoyment to be had

Tales of Legendia involves a story of Senel Coolidge and his ""Sister"" Shirley being washed up onboard an island refered to as the Legacy, when they arrive they meet new people and their story begins

The Main Quest is Split up into 7 chapters, and the length of the game is around 30hrs in length, all the characters are voiced during the main quest

The Game will remind you a lot of Tales of Symphonia in terms of the graphic style, the load times are fairly good, and the battle system is good too, all the Skits are voiced.

After completing the main game, you will have to do the "Character" quests(another 7 chapters) which essentially leads off directly after the end of the game, you will have to do these in order to get the complete ending and to access the grade shop... character quests mostly involve going to the same areas you"ve already visted, fighting certain enemys and finding more out about the characters, their is a character quest for each character, also its worth noting that the Character quest does not have any Voice acting asides from "the bantam bouncer song" and it contains one cutscene or so per character.

the game has various anime cutscenes at different points in the game... asides from the many flaws the game may have, like the lack of different enemys and some of the areas in chapter 6 are the same just "changed" per say(wont say because itl spoil but youl see what i mean)

great battle system of course

i would rate the game a 8 out of 10 , not great but a good play.

Very good in many aspects!
Well, I played all the Tales of Games (except "TotA", what I'll buy here soon) and because it's 3D I didn't expect that much first. Well, I love it. The Story is very complex and nice, the tri-linear system is absolutely genious and the battle system rocks (except the little bug...)
