Serph, leader of the Embryon, wanders aimlessly through the lifeless streets before him. In the Junkyard, his tribe fought a gruesome war, hoping the light of heaven would relieve their suffering. In the end, Serphs world vanished, along with the comrades who stood by him. All that awaited him in Nirvana were endless streets littered with the silent remains of human statues.
The promised land was nothing but a new hell.

Another Masterpiece Anyone who played the first game will not be disappointed, this game explains all the questions raised in the first game. Game play is virtually unchanged aside for a new berserk mode feature, and one new character added to the crew. and while gameplay is the same the setting is completely different with all new looks for dungeons, it's worth mentioning that all in game music is new from battle themes to dungeon themes making the game feel like a new experience. Anyone who played the first game owes it to themselves to pick this game up.

The sequel to an excellent JRPG The sequel to the excellent DDS, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 continues where its predecessor left off, delivering the same excellent game experience that will bound to satisfy both fans and non-fans of the JRPG genre alike.
The decidedly dark story line will grip players from start to finish, furbished by the challenging game play that seems not to be found in most JRPGs. DDS 2 may frustrate players, but all in the good name of a great challenge.
Atlus games are well known to become rare soon. Get this game asap and experience it for yourself.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 A must-buy for all SMT fans...

A nice conclusion This SMT is absolutely amazing. If you've played the first, you will not be disappointed with this sequel... However, if you haven't played the first, do so now: this game plays directly from where the first ends.
In terms of gameplay, it's a J-RPG that's similar to how SMT: Nocturne is, except for a few differences here and there, such as being able to keep all learned abilities for later use. This is a nice addition, as it allows you to plan strategies for each and every boss you encounter.
The story is nothing short of amazing, as is expected with all SMT J-RPGs. It's very interesting, and likes to surprise you with unexpected twists... a lot.
Overall, I really recommend this game to anyone who's looking for a good challenging J-RPG (there's an expert mode in the sequel that's available if you carry over data from the first), or anyone who's a fan of SMT.
