This game ROCKS!!!
Man,i haven't played a game like this one on a very long time!the battle system's pretty cool,there're lots of abilities you can learn and it's very entertaining.the cell shading graphics adds that anime-like style that we really love,and the story's a real masterpiece.buy it now!

can't go wrong with DQ
DQ is simply put, the ultimate "classic" RPG. they have such a wonderful winning formula, so why change it?

Old school is good.
When I first got this game, I feared it would be too different from other Dragon Quests, which I love.

But after playing for a few minutes, I realized all my fears were baseless. This game, despite having the some of the most gorgeous graphics on PS2, still felt like I was playing the classics. I don't know how they managed it, but that's true.

The best jump-in point for new fans, who'd be kept away by older graphics. Once they play this, they may end up appreciating the rest of the game, and give the old entries of the series a chance (they'd be glad they did).

Definitely get either this or the translated version. This is a must.

Better than JP version
I have both versions and I like the US version a lot more.
The voices are great and the US version also has more abilities. Pick this up if you are any sort of RPG fan at all:)

Dragon Quest finally returns to NA!
Dragon quest is an amazing RPG. The stunning visuals breathe new life into the series like never before. The gameplay has stuck to the roots that has made DQ a major success but has improved them also. The new menu layout is a nice addition to the previous installments. The game feature a long and fun storyline that any RPG fan would love. This game deserves to be in any game library of a fan of RPGs.

DQVIII so many things to say about this jewel excellent graphics, excellent voice-overs, living animation without comparison, a excellent and simple story and excellent battle system without a doubt a master piece. When i talk about the graphics there only 2 words coming out from my mouth HOLY JESUSCRISHT! there a so colorful so living so so beauty that can shock you from the very beginning and the Voice-Overs one of the best for 2005 that aren't include in the Japanese counterpart build. One of the most important things about this game is the shocking and hilarious scene and the character expression are full of life with a excellent cel-shade made from the creators of Dark Cloud series, Level-5. The battle system is pretty solid there so lacking in the game but believe the aren't nothing compare with the huge fun you gonna get with the game. If you like RPG this game its made for gamer like you. Very Recommend.

Great Game
This is probably my favorite DQ game in the whole series. The graphics are smooth, there are next to no load times, and the battles are sweet. They even kept the old school sounds for some things, like going up stairs, an enemy missing you, or casting a spell. It's a heroic step forward for the series that's always proven it have never forgotten it's roots. It's just a blast to play. You can gain skill with different types of weapons and learn different skills as you level, effictively tailoring your characters as you see fit. This is a must have for DQ fans. Dont expect an american release until December of 2005. The extra costumes for Jessica may also be taken out. So grab this while you can!

The graphic is fantatic, The best DQ game ever made! Too bad is there only 4 main characters, whish they could design more character. And also miss out the class section( you can choose to be knight, cleric...etc)
