The story is interesting, the monster animation in the battles are awesome, you can also recruit one of them if want!!

Great game DQ V is really a masterpiece from Yuji Horii. The game retain classic RPG system, though the game gets retouched in 3d. Great story telling, and enemy battle animation (although still in 1st person style). Hopefully, SquareEnix will launch DQ VI and DQ XI in near future.
