Night Wizard the video game is a text based adventure game. The plot proceeds according to the options you choose. Every character is fully voiced and not to mention carefully drawn to the last detail to preserve his/her attractiveness. As the hero, you struggle between school life, battling monsters and maintaining relationships with the girls
This game makes use of the judge select system that determines if the hero's attack is successful or not by rolling a pair of dice. As long as the scores on the dices reaches a certain level, the hero's attack will deal damage on the enemies, otherwise he will miss and injure himself.
In the game master mode, a silent narrator explains about the game and gives you hints on how to fight tough enemies, since this is feature is optional, you can turn it on or off depending on your needs.
The battle aspect of the game is differs from the Text RPG genre and you use your skills and magic to attack. When you choose the battle command, the session splits into the opponent phase and the comrade phase. The battle starts with either one of the phases depending on the Initiative judge system.
Magic and skills are used to defend yourselves, support your comrades against the onslaught of your opponents. The key to victory in such battles is cooperation between the party of a maximum of four people.
There are default criteria on how magic and skills are be used. Once these are fulfilled, launch a special attack against your foes. Under well planned tactics, you can become unbeatable!
ナイトウィザード The VIDEO GAMEはテキストを読み進めていき、
選択肢を選んでいくことで進行するアドベンチャーゲーム。
ゲームマスターを除いてフルボイスで物語が進行していきます。
アドベンチャー シーンの他にも、戦闘やTRPGを元にした特徴的なシステムが組み込まれています。
ジャッジ セレクトシステム
主人公「柊蓮司」がとった行動が成功するかどうかをダイスで判定するシステムです。
ボーダー以上の数値を出せば成功となります。
失敗した場合は、ダメージなどのペナルティーがある場合も……。
ゲームマスターモード(GMモード)
ナイトウィザードの設定、世界観をゲームマスターが説明してくれるモードです。
ただ説明するわけではなく、柊やほかの登場人物との会話も交えて紹介していくので、
TRPGのリプレイを読んでいるかのような雰囲気を味わうことができます。
なお、ゲームマスターには音声がありません。
このモードはオプションでカットすることもできるので、ストーリーのみを楽しむことも可能です！
襲いくるエミュレイターと戦う戦闘システム。
ここでは原作のTRPGルールに即したスキルや魔法を使い、戦闘を行っていきます。
戦闘はコマンド選択式。敵フェイズ、味方フェイズに分かれ進行。
ラウンド開始時にはどちらかが先行かを決めるイニシアチブジャッジを行います。
敵の攻撃に応じて防御魔法、プラーナを使ったり、味方の攻撃に補助魔法を使用し、
戦いを有利に進めていきましょう。 味方との連携が勝利の鍵となります。(パーティーは最大４名)
もちろん魔法やスキルも 原作のルールを基本にした性能を設定してあります。
されに、ある一定の条件を満たせば、必殺技扱いのスキルを使用することも可能！
負けた場合も、ゲームマスターのヒントを聞いてからの再戦が可能です。
うまく戦えば、「あの敵」すら退けることが可能かもしれません。
