Regardless of the fanboyish review below mine Rogue Galaxy is produced by Level 5, they made such games as Dragon quest 8, dark cloud 1 and 2, a few Nintendo DS games, and Dragon quest 9 ds, and lastly white knight story on PS3
Rogue Galaxy is a beautiful looking RPG game for PS2, with a very beautiful and bright feel, and runs perfectly fine and at a steady rate on any PS2 used to play, it is one of the best looking games on the machine.
You Play as Jaster/Jester Rogue, a young boy living on a desert planet, whos world gets turned upside down one day with the arrival of the desert claw, and a certain monster, meaning a fateful encounter is all but certain, being handed a powerful sword, Jaster fights side by side with this man, unknown to him, his journey is just beginning and 2 mysterous figures, are looking for someone they think is, you guessed it, HIM
Rogue Galaxy, although the name details a galaxy, is not a Galaxy sized game, with several planets, the game is still beautifully fun and epic with some fun storylines
Don't expect the world, but expect a very fun game that is a lot like dark cloud 2 minus the building of towns, when you see the weapon fusions itl scream dark cloud 2
