The fact that about 2/3's of the game is set in the jungle is obviously new for the series. But this is proper Tatical Espionage Action! This is what it's all about people!.
Trying to survive in the jungle, Eating only what you can kill. The boss fights are also very impressive especially the last one with the boss, the setting is very much like the last fight in "House Of Flying Daggers".
Overall A great game, with great action and cinematics...... Ok so it's got the long cut scenes( not as bad as MGS2) and the camera can sometimes be a little annoying. And if you are new to the Metal Gear series then the controls may be tricky to get use to. But these minor things aside, this is an essential purchase!. top stuff
Sugoi desu ne ? I've done the US version of the game, which is surely one of the best game EVER made, with one of the best storyline EVER written for a game (ok, there's Xenogears...).
In the present case, I'm very interested by this japanese version but I'm wondering: are the voices in japanese or still in english ?

Hideo Kojima has done it again in the final installment of the Metal Gear Solid trilogy(although there is a ruered 4th installment)This games graphics,audio,the voice acting,the characters and the story are all factors that makes this game excel above all the rest.It is beter than its predecesors and then some.Bottom line.Best game ever!!!

Not only the enivorment is bigger then ever, but everything is back in it's retro 60s at it's finest. So pick this up if you got the chance. This is an incredible MGS3 item, the box design, the books, especially the "L" book its an incredible art book plenty of MGS graphic Art, comments form the creators, etc.
The DVD contains the MGS3 trailers from the first released at May 2003, plus this disc contains a sorpresive earlier video never seen before!!!.

Great game. MGS3 is in the US is an underdog because of back marketing, and the release of the overhyped Halo2 which has stifled the market. This is game is has lot of memorable moments that will be etched in your mind forever, and an ending that is very satisfying compared to Halo2's atypical cliffhanger ending. The gameplay is very refined. Throwing the prevous installment's arcadey stealth to a methodical Splinter Cell like stealth were going slow will help you survive rather than just tapping on walls. Theere a lot opputunites to use different solutions for a given situation. The graphics are probably the best the PS2 can do (Besides Gran Turismo 4) and it shows. The frame rate is a bit sluggish at times and the camrea may not be the best at times, but this game is worth buying.

MGS 3: the Naked Snake Incredible,amazing,suberb.The new masterpiece from genious Kojima is greater than ever.The jungle action is great:hunting,sneaking,disguise.A "Rambo" style.No more hi-tech-stealth action.Just survival.
The cold war argument is fantastic and more simply (no more strange matrix-story) And realistic.
The new characters are lovely (Volgin,young Ocelot,EVA,the Cobra Unit)
Technical,story, and in terms of playability better than MGS2
And the best of all... NO MORE RAIDEN!!XDDDD (Well,maybe a little bit.You will know he-he-he)
