In the previous work, for world peace, Sora had to leave behind the king of Disney, Mickey Mouse, and his friend Riku and closed the gate. But just before the gate closed, the king said he would find the door of light to escape, and so Sora, with Donald Duck and Goofy embarked on the journey to find the king and Riku. On the way, Sora met up with a mysterious dark figure who led them to a secretive castle and the king and Riku had actually been there previously. Sora found an important key for their journey but he started to lose his memory...
One year later, in Twilight Town, where there is neither day nor night, the story picked up again from a youth. Secret organization, XIII, incoming crises, what is waiting in the end for Sora?
Kingdom Hearts II is the sequel to Square-Enix mega-hit "Kingdom Hearts". The biggest feature of the game lies in having both Disney cartoon and movie characters and Final Fantasy's more well-known characters making their appearances, letting different characters to meet in this fantastic world.
Disney worlds and characters that made their appearances in the last work will still star here, like "Beauty & the Beast", "Aladdin" and "Little Mermaid". Additionally, some other productions have also been included, such as "Mulan", "Steamboat Willie", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and more.
This time, even the battle elements have been buffered by new members. Besides newly added magic and the combination move of Donald Duck and Goofy, the most significant one is the "Drive" system tying abilities to different outfits. For example, if the "Wisdom Form" is donned, the normal "battle" command will change to firing magic projectiles and many similar innovations, making the battles more lively and exciting.
AWESOME (again!)!!!!! If Kingdom Hearts 1 was not enough now you have Kingdom Hearts 2 to enjoy!!!! again the controls, the worlds and the story makes this game completely worth buying!!! You'll simply LOVE THIS GAME, another MUST HAVE if you have a PS2! If you get this, you'll not be dissapointed

AMAZING!!!! I play this game over and over again and I don't get bored. This definitely won't disappoint take my word and if you really really like this buy Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ it's way better than this but try this first.

Kingdom Hearts 2 I love this game!!! The japanese version sounds really good! like it!
Sora is really hot!
Awesome sequel to the original Kingdom Hearts 2 is absolutely amazing, there must be over a hundred characters altogether from the worlds of Disney and Square Enix. Sora's fighting moves and style are vastly improved - the things you can accomplish with him (and also Roxas in his fight with one of the Organization XIII) are mindblowing. The story is also deeper and has more twists than the original, while the animation of the three heroes Sora, Donald and Goofy is fantastic. Highly recommended - it's no wonder this game had 39/40 from Famitsu (only one less than the sublime Final Fantasy XII).
Delivery from Play-Asia was also VERY fast!

best game ever,almost four forms.
more abilities. but no dodge roll unfortunately.
they look much older. kairi looks nothing like in the first one.
abilities from leveling up forms. such as glide, back jump, arial dodge, and dash.
ultimate keyblade by synthesizing items.
fight sephiroth again. met the organization 13 to where sora can remember this time, lol.
play kh1 or kh chan of memories first, don't really have to play that one though.
50 dollars in american money. it's worth it. it won't let you down. but i can't say it's better than the first one.
More of the Same If you liked the first Kingdom hearts it is an awesome game. The only drawback that I saw is that if you played the chain of memories game you are looking at alot of information in the flashbacks that you have already seen .It was almost like the second game was designed with the assumption that you hadn't played the gameboy game. All in all though, excellent graphics, the gummy system awesome as always and the CG was awe inspiring.

I love this game! I beat it about a month ago but i love it everything about it!!! Sora rocks you can play as Riku the ending it perfect!! If you havn't ordered this game order it i just know you will love it! :D Go Final Form Sora!

For me it's better than KH 1 because it has an excellent Storyline and even more action than the predecessor. Well, the characters are beautifull designed and the music is fantastic too.

The Best Game Ever! I Love KH2! its even better than part 1! i just finished the game! ( im so sad ) but i might play it again. The characters are so cool too! Sora is so cute! and kairi with long hair, so pretty! Also namine is cuteb and Roxas is HOT! hes jesse mccartneys voice! oh well, i really do hope they have part 3. but like it will come in 2010 :(

Astounding Achievement I advise people to ignore the unintelligent review before me (i've never seen so many !!!!!!). This game is unbelievable. Square-Enix have taken everything from the first game and made it ten times better. The new combat engine is faster and angrier. The graphics are amazing and the voice acting is superb (some English translations can be sloppy and corny). True to the Disney style, you really feel part of the story which never lets you down. Its full of twists and turns, and you never quite know who you're going to run into next. Enjoy it! It's worth any price tag.
KINGDOM HEARTS 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SNIFF I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS 2!!!!!!!!! (sniff sniff) i have the JAPNESE ONE!!!! and i loved it!!! and i got KH2 a week a go!!!!! I LOVED IT right now i'm in THE WOULD THAT NEVER WAS!!!!!!!! with the disney and ff characters ! donald, Goofy, Sora, Riku, Kairi and now Namia and Roxas!!! Pete is in too and so is King Mickey and you get to play him to in the game. Now theres Org membors!!! they are sooooooooo cool! The opening is so cool its better than the first one. i thick that SORA AND RIKU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOO HOT! lol!!!!!!!!! so i really recommend this game to everyone!!!!! but i got to go (sniff) i'm going to play KH2!!!!!!!!!!!!! see ya!!!!!!!!
The Best game EVER!! I have recently completed the english version of this game, so I can give my opinion that it is without doubt the best game I have ever played! I thought the first Kingdom Hearts was excellent but this one surpasses it in every way. The story is so heartfelt and beautifully told, the animation and the voice acting is spot on and the gameplay is fast and furious - my thumbs have never felt so powerful!
All the Disney and Final Fantasy elements collide in a breathtaking game that I would recomend to anyone.
I love this game I have both the Japanese and English versions, thanks to Play-Asia, and I liked the Japanese voices better... but the game is just perfect anyway, so it sure is a must have
THis game is cool! I have played the JPN version 2 times.....so when I play this version it will be a lot easier!!!

KINGDOM HEARTS 2!!!!!!!!! I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS 2!!!!!!!!!!! the first kh and kh com were GREAT!!! and now kh2 WOW (sniff sniff) i loved it!!! Sora and Riku are SOOOOOOOOOOO COOL AND I WONT TO HUGE BOTH OF THEM LOL !! i tought Pete was such a scary cat! King Mickey was so cool! and the Org membors were soooooo cool! lol i keep saying that! and the end with sora and riku their sooo hot! They have that new kid Roxas and Namie (sniff sniff) Kairi was soo cute when she hugged sora even thow i wish that was ME! bEST game ever! It's a mixture of my 2 favourite world: Walt Disney's and Final Fantasy's

kingdom hearts 2 This game is super fun for all you fans of kingdom hearts out there go pick this one up because the gameplay and the story and graphics are just phenominal so just pick this one up if your a true kingdom hearts fan like me and also you dont need to know japanese to be able to understand whats going on .

Phenomenal This game truly is out of this world. Just to let US and UK fans know that Square Enix have issued a statement saying that KH2 will be released in the US on March 28th!!

Did'nt have a clue what was going on but the gameplay was awesome!

beat it please, i mastered the game to badly, that no one was a chalenge, i beaten it like a month ago, i got all the key blades, sora's drives, etc, i even have the ultamate weapon, and bye the way, ur characters cant go to level hundred, only 99 so there, and i beat the boss soo baldy that it didnt even give me time to play as riku.

Kingdom Hearts 2 This is one of the best games I've ever played. Can't wait for the 3rd one. All my characters are level 100 but its still just as tough to beat the last boss. Sephiroth is a joke compared to this new dude. This is a must-have for any serious gamers.

beaten it yea it is the best, i had beaten my game already and it only took 24 hours, its not an easy game, but it is the best game, the best part is at the end u get to team up with riku and fight the boss who has like 7 forms!!! im not going to say who the boss is, but he is very hard, and i have beaten sephiroth like nothing, my drive is up to 7 and my characters r all on level 90, i love the city level, where u fight a boss and sora runs up the builing and fights the guy, i like how in the beginning the blond hair kid gives riku the oblivion and they fight and riku knocks down the blonde hair kid, tis soo much fun to play this game, just watch out for the crawlings white heartless under the grounds for begginers and, at the middle towards the end of the game, mikey helps u and he is the best!!! AND I FORGOT TO TELL YOU, AT THE END OF THE GAME THE BOSSES LAST FORM, SORA IS GETTING HIS LIFE SUCKED AWAY AND U BECOME RIKU AND HAVE TO SAVE HIM, BUT REMEMEBER RIKU IS GOOD BUT NOT UNBEATABLE GOOD LUCK!!!

Meilleur jeu du moment Tout comme son prédécesseur, Kingdom Hearts 2 est un chef d'oeuvre. Square nous a montré avec Kingdom Hearts 1 qu'on pouvait associé deux univers sans favorisé l'un par rapport à l'autre. Dans ce second volet, la gameplay est plus rapide et plus jouissife. Entre la touche triangle qui permet de faire des combos inimaginables et le système de fusion on ne sait plus où donné de la tête.
Donald et Dingo sont plus combatif que dans le 1(où ils ne faisaient que de nous donner des potions). De nouveaux joueurs sont disponibles.
Je conseil ce jeu à tout fan de Kingdom Hearts ou de Final Fantasy ou même au personne aimant ce type de jeu.

best game of life best plotline, best characters, best fighting system, best worlds, best everything. this is a game u cant miss and if u do ull regret it for the rest of ur life, cause everyone will still be talking about it. its a love story/fighting evil. kind of like inuyasha. ull love it. anyone who likes games from mario to grand theft auto will love it. and for those who dont like video games, ull love it foir the story line. dont miss it

wonderful this is a great game. the fighting system is awesome and the drive is cool. the thing is, you can beat it in less than 15 hours and to me it felt short. sure i skipped some stuff but i only knew about that because of gamefaqs and wutnot. but it's definately worth getting. kh1 wasn't really a game i could play more than once, (too much walking and puzzles) khII on the other hand was a lot more fighting and was good fun indeed. warning!: sephiroth is hard.

Simply amazing! After playing this import of Kingdom Hearts II for only an hour, I knew it was going to be something truly spectacular. After a total of 3 hours I had finished the PROLOGUE! Then all of a sudden, this great game got around 10x greater!!
The revised battle system is excellent and a huge improvement over the original, the Final Fantasy cameos are abundant (Vivi ROX in this game!!!) and the story, although I can't read Japanese, seems to be full of twists and surprises... can't wait for the English version!
I urge anyone who liked the first game to get this import version NOW! Trust me, even though it's all Japanese you WILL want this to play while you wait for March to come around.

KH2 is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! I've gotta applaud Square-enix. They've made yet another beautiful fantasy RPG game. As soon as I saw the prologue, I got goosebumps from the visual effects and color and design. The music by Hikaru Utada was very complementing to the opening video -- I can't get the song out of my head! As far as the gameplay, it was simple, yet fun and challenging. Although, it's Japanese, I love this game because I adore the Japanese dialogue even though I couldn't understand it. I'll just wait for the English version... but until then, I will continue playing the Japanese version. :D
