3 years after the conclusion of Final Fantasy VII, a mysterious organization suddenly appeared and started to attack residents of the town. They are called "Deep Ground Soldiers", who were stuck in the underground of Midgal city because of the Meteo incident. The game's main character, Vincent Valentine seemed to be connected with this series of events but the reason was unclear. What happened underground over these past 3 years? Why was this tragedy happening? When the world is surrounded by darkness, Vincent's gun will compose requiems...
The main character in the game, Vincent, is a sharpshooter, and so the main weapon in the game is the gun. Many different types of guns will appear in the game, and the player has to utilize them effectively according to the situation. Besides having different types of guns in the game, it is also possible for the player to add on certain parts to the guns to enhance their capabilities. This ability to freely assemble the guns is sure to enhance the entertainment value of the game to no small extent.

4/5 Dirge of Cerberus is different from the regular Final Fantasy games, which is a third person shooter. You play as Vincent Valentine, one of the original characters from PS1 Final Fantasy VII. The game has average graphics but the CGIs are impressive, just like from the movie, Final Fantasy Advent Children. The music and voice acting are good. Overall, the game is enjoyable and the difficulty is well balance. A must have for Final Fantasy fans.

a must buy for FF fans. the story is nice, specially the CG cutscenes, but the gameplay is sub-par. but im an FF fan since the 90's so i need to own every FF games released. play-asia and square enix FTW!
Fantastic Game Many have judge this game on how it was not like the other FF games. This was just pure fun romp through more of the story and lore off ffvii. Totally worth playing just for Gackt singing in the last 40 minutes of game with the boss.
Bravo! This game is really awsome! But the fact at this game is way too short...but you still have the almost 50 Extra Missions.
I really liked this game.
The graphics are great.
The music is very cool and fitting.
The story moves along pretty fast...making the game interesting...but also short.
A must buy for all FFVII Fans!

game is ok for CG cutscenes game has amazing cutscenes just like the advent children movie if not even better with loads of action in them but its where the gameplay is concerned the game fails badly. aiming is completly wrong and in game graphics are mostly bland and the game is very linear. but it is good considering the cheap price on offer here, also game is relatively import friendly as the game is so linear but you wont understand the story if you dont know japanese but the english dub will probably be lame anyway so if you really want it stick with this version

Very Cool I already knew what to expect from this game after reading the reviews and seeing the screenshots.
This just came out here not long ago and although SE has put in the online maps from the jp version to play as kinda side missions for the US version, this is all they really gave the US version with some better controls, nothing majorly new.
This price is outstanding and of course the jp cover art blows away the cheap looking cgi NA cover.
A fun shooter and nice to see FF7 locations and cut scenes done to a fairly modern standard.
Awfully Pretty If you are totally into Vincent, or you just have to have everything on the FFVII circuit, be my guest. If you want a short game to blow attention , thats fine too. If you are looking for the depth of the final fantasy series, or even the consistant game play probably not a game for you. Its short, though you get a decent amount of characters, really not worth the money at this point. Maybe when it goes on sale.
Cool for some backstory and fmvs, everything else is substandard Seriously not worth the money, at best a rental or borrow it from someone who bought it.

Not so great. The game gets repetative and boring pretty fast. As much as I love Vincent, his pretty face isn't going to make the game fun. That was Squarenix's job.
The only reason I actually played thru the whole game was to see the FMVs. They were fantastic. But the gameplay wasn't. I wish they would have just made a movie so I could have watched it instead of having to force myself to play thru a subpar game.

kick ass game a really cool game tough it has some glitches
YUCK Vincent has master jumps, far leaps, quick movements, rolls shoots, and even lookig liek a spectral shooting bullets from his capenot showing him in ADVENT CHILDREN. This game? He is LAME. The guy was more entertaining in FFVII...he, here.....is........just.........yucky.
The movies, sure they were GREAT, but that isnt what makes a video game, its the play, and the entertainment.
Only get this if ur a huge (not neccesarly true fan) fan of Vincent or FF and u just HAVE to play them all.... Other than that, your wasteing your time, and you will be dissipointed. :(

Don't listen to some people! This game really is great by itself, not including the FF. It has solid game-play, fully customizable controls, familiar levels, and much more. The game is, though, of course, made infinitly better by the fact that you are playing as Vincent and you are in the FFVII world. It isn't too easy (VERY hard at a few parts), and it stands right up there with DMC in my opinion. If you have a way to play it, THEN BUY IT! It's only $30! Don't pass it up!

Total Boredom Horrible game. You will be bored to death unless you are a very hardcore FF fanboy. Graphically I guess it looks OK but beyond appearances this game sucks. Buy something better instead.

No title I enjoyed from this game as a Final Fantasy VII title.
It's amazing with aload of cool breath-taking Final Fantasy VII
FMV movies, The story will happen two year after Advent Children and You will meet lovely FF7 characters again...
They will help you as Vincent to finish your new mission and FF fans will love this game...
The game has more than 20 hours of playing to offer and Must have!
Horrible game... I got to say I've put way too high of expectation over this game. The game play is just horrible, one of the worst control to be on an action title. in the movies you see Vincent Valentine pulls all kinds of crazy aerial moves, but in the game where are they? where are his multiple jumps, far leaps, and the wall-to-wall hopping stunts? don't know what Square Enix is thinking... and certainly don't understand those numb nuts describing this game is as good as Devil May Cry! what a bunch of blinds!
...ok, I gotta give respect to the CG movies in this game; I would say they are breath taking.

This game was terrible! This game was so boring!
It has some great fmv's but nothing else is interesting.
Buy it and laugh at how bad it is!
Or, get Kingdom Hearts 2 instead.

Not Bad Recieved this game a week ago. Its really good! The only thing I didn't like was the crazy control setup. But its fully customizable. Its a neat idea from Square Enix, as it plays like a combination of Devil May Cry, and Splinter Cell. Definately worth it!
No title i think that its cool to play vincent but it have to be like the other final fantasy games. like the gameplay is kind of like metal gear or something
