Square will give Japanese fans a chance to experience the English version of Kingdom Hearts with the release of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. This updated version of the game includes English voice acting, the English version of the game's theme song, "Simple & Clean", as well as appearances from a number of additional characters, including Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII fame. Japanese subtitles will be utilized throughout.
Kingdom Hearts is every crossover fanfic's dream, with characters from many Square titles and Disney movies.
Excellent game, though not necessarily worth it over the US version. Kingdom Hearts is excellent. It hasn't aged as well as many action games, sadly, as it's somewhat clunky. If you have an opinion on Kingdom Hearts and are wondering if the Final Mix version is worth it, to this I say, only if you're hardcore. The differences are mainly in a few new abilities and one super boss, and a new secret movie (which, if you've played KH2, is moot). For me, it was worth it, but I eat Kingdom Hearts up.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (Ultimate Hits) The original Kingdom Hearts was something like I've never would expect of two famous companies coming together as one. This International version, Final Mix, is the same game as the original Kingdom Hearts, but with really cool and awesome extras added in that even the U.S. or European release never had. The game is in English dialogue with Japanese subtitles, but if you remember the menus alright from the U.S. version, it'll be a piece of cake!

secret boss This game is pretty much kingdom hearts 1 with a few bonuses such as an extended KH 2 trailer and a secret Organization boss in Hollow Bastion.

i am either beautifully misinformed or This game contains the secret fmv that promotes the second game, deep dive or something, a half dozen extras, and is mostly Japanese, if not completly

Amazing! After all those years it's still an amazing game. The extras that come with the Final Mix are definitely worth it. Heck, the Unknown fight alone is worth a purchase.
^-^ Kingdom Hearts is one of the best games ever and it just gets better in Final Mix. The only downside to it is that it was never released outside of Asia. It's kinda unfair to the rest of the world, and they're repeating it with Final Mix 2 but I'll import them both none the less.
rockin' this is just about the coolest game ever made. it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope they make a kh2 final mix that'd be cool or a ps2 version of chain of memories

Excellent game Though I live in the US, I played Final Mix before playing KH1 in English. I loved the story even though I can't read Japanese, the spoken dialogue was still enough for me to get the basic jist of the story.
If you're a fan of the series, I highly suggest picking this up. There are some great FAQs on Gamefaqs.com for those who can't read Japanese and need some help on what's what.
final mix this game is much better in english if you don't know japanese. I think you can change the language in the new playstations only. or you can wait for the ps3. also i'm not sure but i think that you can get cloud to fight sephiroth instead of sora in final mix.
first, you beat cloud in the herc cup. you can only do this the very first time.but you have to lose riht after him
then enter traverse town with the metal chocobo in hand.
talk to the fat guy out side the accesory shop.
he'll ASK for the metal chocobo and give it to him
then go to either the 3rd district or to the olympus coloseum and he'll ask for the metal chocobo
if you talk to the fat guy again, cloud will leave the party along with the metal chocobo

Can't wait I just got my copy today! I haven't played yet, but it looks so flippin' awesome! The original KH was great, but I've heard this Final Mix version is even better which is sweeeeet! I'll let you know more once I've played!

Worth It While this game does use Japanese text, the voices are in English, and if you are very familiar with KH, it shouldn't be a problem for you (it wasn't for me, and I don't know any Jap.) It IS worth it if you already own KH, what has been added to it is awesome!
My god Words cannot explain how fricking awesome this game is. I instantly fell in love with it. The story line is...my gosh amazing. It like SUCKS you in...on an emotional level mostly. And I just finished the second game. It was just as good, if not better. I was kind of confused, but it all falls together at the end...Speaking of the ending of KHII...that's a tear jerker. I wish I was as lucky as Kairi/Namine to have someone love me that much. :P

Great This game is really awesome. If you thought the original KH was great, then Final Mix is a must. It has everything you loved from the original + a whole lot more.

us version ????? i was just wondering if there's ever ever EVER going to be a kingdom HEarts 2 in the US. if so contact me please right away @ kingkenny1959@AOL.com , i really do hope that there is going to be a Kingdom Hearts 2 in the US. im only 11 and im totally obsessed, i'd also like to add i have a disabled arm and yet i can beat the 1st game's Phil's Cup ternament in 15 minutes. great game This is a great, fast paced game that is definitely worth a buy. The voice acting is great and the plot is exciting. disney fans will be excited to see disney locations and final fantasy fans will be glad to know that characters such as cloud and sepiroth are in the game. The graphics in the game are pretty good especially the summon spells. My gripes with the game are that the characters sometimes look akward in the cutscenes and that the cutscenes are usually cartoony instead of high rendering quality. But i guess it makes sense because it's part disney and disney movies are cartoons.
the best kingdom hearts fan. I think kngdom hearts is the best game ever made in the whole world.I just can't stop thinking about it. every morning i intend to go on the the internet and look up at any news for kingdom hearts2 i just can't get over it. that's how much i love kingdom hearts.

Even if you don't like Disney or RPGs (I know I didn't) you will come entranced in its stunning graphics and complex, but astonishing plot. From the opening scene (which was awesome!) to the end it will have you on the edge of your seat laughing, cheering and even crying inside. And it's very original and very creative. And despite what you may think, this game is not for babies! Its astounding plot and high difficulty level will be more than enough to satisfy you. Even after you defeat the game there's still tons of mini-games to beat, tons of stuff to collect and tons of stuff to do! Kingdom Hearts is full of twists and turns that will keep you holding your breath to the finish! Great graphics, great storyline, great meaning, great characters, beautiful voiceovers, and a great game. So what are you waiting for! The best game ever made awaits! And the best thing is, the journey continues in Kingdom Hearts 2!!!

A MUST BUY! I fell in love with the original Kingdom Hearts, and when I heard about the new additions to the story in "Final Mix" I bought a Japanese PS2 just to play it! ^_^;; I even went hardcore and bought the Platinum edition with all the goodies!
But There is so much in FM that it makes it a definite buy, even if you own the original version!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Rules I love kingdom hearts! I love the theme song, the graphics, plot, theme, evne the climax! Tetsuay Nomura is the best character designer of all time and he deserves the best that there is. I'm a FF FAN but now KH matches with it! I hope that KH2 and COM mathces with it and is even bigger than KH1!
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix I don't have this yet, as I live in the UK, but I will soon have to means to import and play Japanese games. This means that I'll be able to get all the extra features such as the unknown and more with Sephiroth.

A great game for any age. This game is grand. It is so marvelous. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is great, and the storyline is marvelous. This game is like what it said in the description of the game. It is a game with characters from past Squaresoft games (and some new ones like Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Unknown) and the old, classic, adorable characters from past Disney movies and shows like Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy Duck, and a familiar mouse.;) The game is mysterious. Overall, I give it a 10/10.
