Jaster is a young man who dreams of exploring the galaxy. In a sudden turn of fate, he is mistaken for a renowned bounty hunter and recruited into a band of space pirates in a race to find a legendary planet that holds the key to the greatest treasures and eternal life. Clues to ‘Eden’ are scattered round the Galaxy - Jaster will go onto to explore many different worlds and face countless battles in search for these clues – but some treasures are best left undiscovered.

One of the best games for PS2!!! An awesome PS2 exclusive, with a nice storyline. The gameplay and graphics are the strongest aspects of this game. Took me about 50+ hours to beat the storyline, still there is plenty to be done in the game. A good choice for a Final Fantasy fan!!!

A fun rpg experience This action rpg does a lot of things right. The graphics are tight for a ps2 game, and the production values overall are pretty high. There's plenty to do, and as others have said, the game will last you as long as you want it to.
What I find interesting is the flow of the game. The characters talk amongst themselves as you explore, and this helps by adding personality while there are long stretches of gameplay without any story segments

rogue galaxy... this was a tough one to rate... it's really a 3.5 star game i think. i was really on the fence about this one. i think it holds its own against many of the PS2 RPGs (excluding FF, DQ and established heavy-weights).
[pros: awesome graphics/artwork, challenging battles, great battle system, fluid gameplay, weapon variety, useful map system, good interface]
in regards to kain my origional review, below yours is fairly accurate to the degree the game is a long as you want to make it, the game has a lot of sidequests, weapon fusions, monsters to hunt, completionists could easily speand over 60 hours + and still have a lot left to do, saying the game is boring is just your opinion, a lot of people liked this game, its well worth the money, and it has a fairly amusing yet epic storyline

better than FFXII??? no Rogue Gaalaxy is good, but if you have to choose between RG and FFXII go to FFXII, rogue galaxy is too short and boring

the game has literally no load times, the battles are fun but challenging the graphics are beautiful, and the scene that gets you up into "the wide expanse of space"
(im not spoiling.. =P)
is one of the best scenes ive ever seen on a videogame.. so frickin amazing
this game is well worth the price, if you want a great and challenging yet long RPG game to play

Very good, but dungeons could be frustrating for some Rogue Galaxy is a very polished and quite enjoyable action role playing game. Be aware that it is a dungeon-crawler, and the people who enjoy this the most will be those who like to run through long dungeons fighting off lots of beasties. With the added sub-game elements (insectron, beast hunting), this game could easily take 100 hours of your gaming time. Without the sub-games, it could still take 40-50 hours.
