great naval warfare
bought this game w/o hesitation for its attractive price and for its receptive reviews.
In this game, you get to use different calibre weapons to engage different targets and taking enemy ships head on is a breeze with the PS2 controller.
The biggest attraction in the game comes with the huge enemy fleet which bombards you from distance, forcing you to maneuver to firing positions as soon as possible, so the action is almost immediate as soon as you start a scenario.
The storyline is predictable but acceptable and the characters are cute and cartoony which does not distract from the real action.
You also get to research new weapons to upgrade your ships but you'd need money to fund it. Your missions allows you to gather the funds you need and good performances are highly valued.
Visually, the graphics do a decent job but there are some areas lacking textures and quite plain to look at. The seas are rendered well and your ship rolls with the waves accurately.
Overall, a great package and at a price that is reasonable.
